I think people have seen what happens when people are nice enough to release the files for people to freely host.

You end up with 1k servers and 2 players on each.

@Valthos™ and TheAltisProject will be on the only host of ExileLife.

Later down the line we may license or offer server hosts depending on how the player base is doing. 

 

But tbh we went the closed server route to keep a stable playerbase and also keep it unique and the same over all the server we launch. 

lots of server made Exile far too easy. we did it as well and it ruins the idea in my opinion.

this way the player experience is shared and hived across all servers.

I don't think they do since they are advertising this on there facebook.

Guessing they are going to end up sponsoring it.
