Graphics stutter no matter the setting

14 posts in this topic

Hi guys.

Since the 1.54 Arma update and latest Exile LIME, a game that used to provide me with a smooth 60+fps on my system now stutters and stalls for seconds at a time regardless of graphical settings or action around me.

WTAF :(

My machine is more than capable of consistently providing a nice 60 fps, so i can only assume the new updates are poorly optimised.

Anyone else getting this?

We've noticed the same thing and believe it is whenever loot spawns in your area. It appears to affect every player on the server. Whenever you move into a new area and loot spawns, or whenever loot replenishes you stutter. We are seeing 90-120 fps on our server that drops to 30-50 fps for a half second of two whenever loot spawns.

I played on a server with mods Tow/zombies and a few others mods there i had game freezes getting worse the longer i played there.

Going back to the lobby and back in the game solved it for about 30 min.

Now i play on a server without tow and ryanzombies and no game freeze.

I guess it has something to do with the mod running on that server.

But it is an issue sinds the update from Arma and Exile.

I hope they fix it freezes up to 4 seconds are no fun.

Ryanzombies fixed the lag spike with 3.3

I did also noticed an FPS drop since 1.54

I don't think it's related to the mission script.

I've removed the "trash" item from my loot table and just reduced the loot rate, there's no point spawning garbage.

Thanks for the replies guys.

But maybe I didn't explain properly.

The frames stop.

80+ to zero for 4/5 seconds, almost more of a freeze than anything else.  Nothing to do with loot spawns/mission spawns (as far as I can tell).

I might see if i can get a capture of it for future reference.

Might be your computer as I've had 0 issues thus far and I play on quite a few servers. Some modded and some stock.
