Using Notepad ++ and Compare plugin

10 posts in this topic

If your using notepad plus but haven't used Compare plugin, its a free open source file and allows you to compare file by file in split screen view.

I am sure there are many others with advanced experience in this.

Notepad ++

https://notepad-plus-plus.org/

Notepad ++ Compare Function plugin

http://sourceforge.net/projects/npp-compare/

as the read me states, To install copy ComparePlugin.dll into the plugins directory C:\Program Files\Notepad++\Plugins

open two files, drag the one file over into split screen view and compare files. So you don't mess up your configurations and username, passwords

Nope it doesn't however it pretty much highlights code with colours and such, and from that you can easily identify if you made a mistake :)
