Admin global messages (help)

8 posts in this topic

ok this is probably an easy thing but I'm not exactly sure where to look in the files, i  think I found maybe what I nee in infistar  but not sure,  What I want is   to know where and how I can add a global message that show up in chat, so for example maybe 10 minutes of logging in  it might say Need help join discord, (then here would be discord link),       then another 10 mins might say No cheating, Abusing Homophobia for more rules check discord.

you get what I mean,  so maybe there might be lets say between 5-10 global messages and every  x amount of minutes the messages would cycle through so they would repeat throughout the server uptime and not only show once

You're looking for the NOTIFY_MSG_ARRAY in the EXILE_AHAT_CONFIG.hpp file for the server side infiSTAR folder. Above that is text telling you how it functions and how to set it up.

@One Shot -

Not there?  Maybe because you do not have BEC installed perhaps...just maybe?  ;)

Did you try using Google?  Because if you had, you would not made your post above mine...but you did not use Google, which shows little effort  on your behalf.

You answer awaits you on Google concerning BEC...I know it is there, I just checked...1+ million returns for one search (and most are not for you), another search was almost  32 thousand returns which are what you seek.

Have you even looked up what BEC even is and what it does???

I will give you one tip:

If you use BEC, you will HAVE TO MODIFY YOUR HOST FILE!  Google also has the answers on how to do that too!  If you are using a hosted server, you MOST LIKELY will have to get that company to make the changes or allow you access to that folder/file.  A LOT of people miss this step as it is NOT in the 'instruction manual'.

:)

@One Shot - Rudeness is SUBJECTIVE.  Just like someone calling someone else LAZY because they will not try to fix themselves first, rather they want someone to 'hand it to them'.

It is ALL SUBJECTIVE.

And as the record reflects,  I have answered many of your questions, and since you feel that I am 'rude', fret not, I shall no longer provide any answers that you may pose, as I do not wish to 'trigger you'.

;)
