Chnage respect When sell item

Soooo... I had a question....
How does the respect system works when people sell a item.....
And is there a way to change the amount respect people will get for a item...
 

Is it like:
Level 2 = 2000 respect
and they sell a item from this respect level they will get 1000  respect ?
