Second IP

Hey all,

So, We have a server with OVH. Sadly with OVH you cant move the main IP to another server if you wish to upgrade but you can with a failover IP/second IP

How do we set it up so it uses the failover IP instead of the main one? Iv looked in the configs for something on the lines of IP: but found nothing.

Any ideas?

from a network/server not gaming point of view, with failover IPs you tend to bind your programs to a local IP (either 127.0.0.1 or a private assigned IP like 19.2.168..x.) then the routing/firewall forwards traffic from an external IP to an internal IP which means the server becomes available on multiple IP's externally but only one IP locally.
