Wooden Stairs FIX?

15 posts in this topic

When do you plan on fixing wooden stairs? The amount of times myself or a group member has died has now become obscene. It's a daily occurrence getting stuck in them, floating, instant death or bleeding. (As for bleeding why is it even here, I have never bled from gunshots and only seems to happen when I collide with things just remove it already it doesn't add anything)

Snapping/manual  wood stairs to anything but a wood floor with a port in it is fine, but when you start snapping/manual to the actual port you can clearly see gaps at either end which you get stuck in. The stairs are a plank too short and please don't say its Arma 1.5 thats done this.

This may only be for you, I've never had any issues with the wooden stairs, I'm not glitching on them or anything, they work perfectly fine...

I have not experienced any issues with the stairs either. Sometimes if you hit the stairway on the way down on an angle you might slide down. but i dont loose health. The only problem i found with stairs is when you snap them to the port hole your missing a step in the bottum..

The Stairs are the same for me.  They snap to tall and have a gap at the top and if not careful you can get caught and fall on the stairs.  I had to manually place it with the help of a spotter and it works now.  I just can't use the snap for them.

I'm in the same boat as Laboredm. Snapping seems to put them in a strange spot, but placing manually works just fine. I guess the fix needed is where the snap position is for stairs.

Yea, don't use the  snap feature on the stairs and you'll never had a problem.  I find the snap feature doesn't place the stairs as flush so go manual and snug them up closer and you should never have any issues.

I've yet to die on the stairs.

@Rangecreed I have the exact same issue.  I have found that if you run down, and even sometimes up, you can be sort of tossed into the corner of the wall in front of you and the floor and then you start to hover.  10% of the time you can vault out of it, the other times you die.   I die at least 20% of the time going up and down my tower which I have coined the Tower of Doom.. and it is my doom I speak of.. not my opponents.  I have found that putting a half-wall chest height about 8 inches from the wall at the bottom of the step helps me not die... but that still isnt perfect.

Please let me know if you find a fix.  I am looking at building a 4x4 tower and it is a huge waste of lumber just to use the center 2x2 to go up and down.
