Wood walls destructable?

I read somewhere that you can blow a wood wall.  I put one in the editor tonight and hit it with 15 satchel charges at once and then hit it with a blackfoot and nothing.  Is this going to be a future update or is it an option on servers or what?

Yes, base parts is destructable unless it's been fortified.
