Stuck in "Receiving Server Version"

Question

I have the new exile mod. Can't join any servers with the mod. I get all the way to the "Receiving Server Version" screen and it just locks. Same issue on multiple servers. On one server I'm getting this error message attached below as well.

To sum, ever since the new exile update, I can no longer play exile. I have attached screen shots of the two different problems.

Mine is also doing the same. The logs are saying that it has failed to connect to the MySQL database, although I have confirmed the details are correct.

did you update extDB2 to version 69?

Yes, mysql updated to 5.6, tables updated, tried several servers, got something similar on most, or kicked because they'd probably not updated

How do you find out whether it's version 69?

We use Gaming Deluxe who provide an upgrade batch file for ours

Roll back to old version on Gaming Deluxe for now
