I've had this issue in the past, this is how I fixed it.

Un-Install Arma 3 and all the mods. Delete all files associated with Arma 3...In these areas

  • C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 3 (Delete the whole Arma 3 folder, do the same for the one below)
  • C:\Users\Boothy\AppData\Local\Arma 3

Reinstall everything and should be fixed :)

EDIT: Worked for me!

The Arma 3 *.RPT log files are located in a hidden folder. You will need to "enable hidden files" under Windows, to see these locations.
The file names look similar to "arma3_2013-07-27_19-52-10.rpt", which contains the reverse date and 24 hour time.

In Windows Vista/7/8, the folder is in:

%userprofile%\AppData\Local\Arma 3

where %userprofile% is something like
"C:\Users\<winUserName>\"

or in older Windows XP versions, the folder is in:

%userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Arma 3

where %userprofile% is something like
"C:\Documents and Settings\<winUserName>\"

Source of info is from: http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Crash_Files.

Instead of pasting the link to the google search I figured i'd just post the whole thing here so you can see it

Have the same problem. I can play for ~2 hours and when i die, the game crashes without an error, while i'm midair. After that, i kill the game and restart it but it stucks at the "Downloading Character" - Screen. Cant get back into game. Reinstalled everything, checked Arma 3 files through steam, redownloaded the mod.
