Katy Perry 1 Report post Posted September 10, 2015 I see that the forums got an upgrade so I'll be posting this thread again as it's my one feature that I really want in-game. One good thing about Epoch is it give players their personal preference in gender and appearance. Seeing as Exile is becoming the new best mod of its class, I would like to be able to play as either male or female. It's just a small (maybe small? I'm not totally sure) feature that can bring such positive results and is optional to those who would rather stay masculine.
|SW| Benlav 4 Report post Posted September 10, 2015 The issue that Arma 2 had was that there appeared to be more mens clothing than womens, so they should also do gender-generic clothing so you aren't penalised for character gender.
Katy Perry 1 Report post Posted September 10, 2015 I absolutely agree, there is a huge lack in different appearances for women; however, going back to Epoch, I think they did a fantastic job with their female characters in the mod. A wide selection of camo and civilian clothing that was surprisingly common enough to run across during loot runs. Honestly I don't expect this to be a priority but I would still love to see the feature added in the future.
Eichi 4505 Report post Posted September 10, 2015 This feature is unfortunately not a small one. You will have to re-do some animations, design a complete new model and most important: add female clothing. This is probably a workload of weeks, that we do not have left at the moment. But most important: This feature is already implemented in epoch and we are not going to copy anything from them. However, if we are lucky, we could see this in the base game at some time: http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=15747

However, if we are lucky, we could see this in the base game at some time: http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=15747 The thing is this, with the last year controversy about females characters appearance in games and the aftermath with feamle gamers and other feamals in the gaming industry getting bashed this would be a perfect time to reach out and ask for someone do it. Just see what happend when you guys ask about the axe animation. It could never hurt that a develeper of what I think is could be one of the best mod to arma3 just because you are trying to do things diffrent (hear what the player base and serverowner wants). Put it out there what you are looking for, and just ask if someone know someone or can do it. And do it in the right channels. Ask on other sites. Why not ask if the commiunty would be intresting do donate toward just that goal, maybe start a kickstarter. I know that there are some financial hurdels with BIS about doing tings for money but you guys know more of that then me.And then there are people that are working on it, I don't know how far they have come.http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=26169http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=22394Just some ideas to fix it. Katy Perry 1 Report post Posted September 12, 2015 It's a hope that this mod will see the inclusion of female character models. Whether by BI, the Exile devs, or someone else.
