Exile on Chernarus or Esseker

Question

hi,

i tried to get chernarus or esseker working, but i cant figure out what my problem is...

i use CUP_Terrains_Core and CUP_Terrains_Maps

i also searched for a exile.chernarus.pbo for cup, but everything i find is for allinarmaterrainpack

i can start the server and everything seems ok, but i cant connect to it...

maybe someone here has a tutorial or solution for me?

im bored of altis and tanoa btw so would be nice to get some help :)

Yeah, I should be able to help since I recently installed Esseker.

Get CUP_Terrains_Core and Map at your Server. (dont forget the keys and Startparameter)

Get the desired Map as a Mod on your Server. -in my case it was the @Esseker modfolder. (also dont forget the keys and Startparameter:)

For the pbo:

!!!!! always make Backups !!!!!! for everything !!!!! in named Fodlers!!!!!!

1.Get a Mission-file (=Exile_xxxxxx.pbo) which is not a Standard-Map. I had Exile_Namalsk.pbo in my mpmissions folder.

2.unpack it with PBO-Manager

3.Change EVERY Namalsk (or whatever Mapname)  u have in the mission.sqm (which is in the mission.pbo) to Esseker. (should be 8 times~)

4.change the Mission Folders name to whatever u need, in this Case Exile_Esseker

5.repack it in a pbo which is then called Exile_Esseker.pbo (because of step 4)

6.put it on the Server in the mpmissions folder 

The last step for me was to select my new Exile_Esseker.pbo in my Hosts-Webinterface so the Server starts with that one.

thanks for your help, im gonna try this soon and let you know :)

now i know the mistake i made...i was thinking i dont need a chernarus mod, because its included in cup ^^

do i have to do something else with cup terrain core & maps?

or only startparameters ( -mod=....@cup_terrain.core;@cup_terrain_maps;@MAP(chernarus or essker)....) and the 3 keys in keys folder?

Should be everything done for CUP. (Modfolder + Keys + Startparas)

We created the Lootpositions ourselves with Exile_Loot_Position_Creator_Tool as mentioned above.

(Lootpostions are in your Exile_Server_config.pbo, they define where the Lootspots in a Building are and which Category a Building is)

The Loottables I made myself, mine are completely custom using nearly 90%Modstuff.

(Loottables define what to spawn in said Lootpositions defined by the Building-Category, theyre also in your Exile_Server_config.pbo
