BetterDeadThanZed 1006 Report post Posted February 14, 2017 I run two Exile servers on a dedicated box using Firedaemon. Since yesterday, I've had a problem where it's been taking a very long time for my server to start. For example, here's the beginning of my server log: Spoiler ===================================================================== == C:\servers\2302\arma3server.exe == "C:\servers\2302\arma3server.exe" -mod=@Exile;@Ryanzombies;@Extended_Base_Mod;@CUP_Weapons;@Z-HUNTERS;@CUP_Terrains_Core;@CUP_Terrains_maps;@CBA_A3 -serverMod=@ExileServer;@infiSTAR_Exile;@marma;@a3xai -config=@ExileServer\config.cfg -ip=23.254.153.250 -port=2302 -profiles=SC -cfg=@ExileServer\basic.cfg -name=SC -loadMissionToMemory -enableHT -autoinit Original output filename: Arma3Retail_Server Exe timestamp: 2016/12/07 10:50:01 Current time: 2017/02/14 07:22:21 Type: Public Build: Stable Version: 1.66.139586 Allocator: C:\servers\2302\dll\tbb4malloc_bi.dll ===================================================================== 7:22:21 SteamAPI initialization failed. Previously, the time between these two lines was seconds, maybe a minute or two at the most. Has anyone ever had this happen?
BetterDeadThanZed 1006 Report post Posted February 22, 2017 Bump. Had a new OS installed and all was fine but now I'm getting a delay of several minutes, but not as bad as before.
☢klinGiii☢ 10 Report post Posted February 23, 2017 (edited) Did you test the startup times without the additional mods ? Maybe it`s an mod causing the trouble. You run the mods from an SSD or an HDD ? Server specs ? Here`s a little link for debugging. Step 3 could be an interesting one for your problem. It turns out it was a badly fragmented hard drive. it was 28% fragmented. I guess that's what happens when you are downloading and copying gigabytes of data.
