So glad to hear Exile is back in business. It really does kick the shit out of every other ARMA mod.

...I'd like to make a request if I can, and maybe see if other people feel that same;

Basically, I want to headshot someone with my fist for a change

If melee items (Axe, Shovel, Sledgehammer) could do damage to players, that'd be cool - go back to the humiliation kills from Arma 2 DayZ, lol.

It would be nice to see at least the Axe be used as a melee weapon, not a one hit kill deal unless it is directly to the dome.

Maybe even the shovel as a melee weapon or at least knock them unconscious for x amount of time.

I seem to remember a hand to hand/CQC mod once upon a time. I've just had a look on the workshop, but can't seem to find anything remotely related.

Does anyone know if melee has ever been done on ARMA 3?

From the bit I've looked at melee. The issue lies in the fact that any melee weapon is still a "gun" that shoots. Getting it to be a reliable way of killing someone is tricky from the bit I played with in the past. Your option is either scripting it entirwly and deleting the bullet. Or trying to have the bullet delay and hit just the right spot at the end of swing only.

I did glance at how they did it once. And it's not scripted from memory. From what I could see it was engine side and configs.
