Loot

4 posts in this topic

What I would really like to see is loot graded by location like the original Dayz, for instance high level guns should only be available at certain locations and be rare at the moment there is no real reason to go to the radiation zone as the weapons found there are also to be found in upper class buildings on the rest of the map consequently players achieve their gun targets to quickly.

I know I can edit the loot table which is what  I have had to do  when running an Epoch server but I think  this should not be necessary.

I wasn't aware DLC ghillies, snipers, and the MMGs spawned in bulk in upper class buildings. Unless you mean military bases, which MMGs shouldn't be spawning in either (if you're using default tables).

Then again I suppose it depends on the map you're using.

Snipers and ghillies do spawn in upper class buildings, I am using Tanoa by the way, but if I am honest Exile like Epoch , in their vanilla form, is not the game I envisage but usefull to use as a resource to that end, I guess I am just complaining about the amount of time I have to put in to get a little closer to my ideal.

Tanoa? What are you considering upper class buildings then? Because by default there shouldn't be military loot (large rifles, ghillies, mil clothing, etc) in civilian upper class.

Personally I changed my rad zone loot to include certain items that can't be found anywhere, including mission loot.
