After spending hours searching Factories, Industrial, and Vehicle Service areas for the elusive sledge hammer I begin to wish we could craft one. 

I do not know the specific recipe but it seems reasonable that it would be a combination of axes, metal pipe, scrap metal, grinder, fire and... I don't know... beer?
