Corrupt Server Download? (linux)

So I'm following the guide HERE and am stuck now on the download. I obviously had to get a different URL for the wget command because this guide is before the new version of the files. I did this by going to the downloads page on this site and clicking "get link address" then used that to download the files through the wget command. I then installed unzip and 7zip but neither of these can open the server files, even going so far as to suggest they may corrupted. Since there is only a single download link on the downloads page, I can't really test that theory. 

Although I'm new to Linux (this is partly a learning experience for me), I would very much like to use it to run my server (because paying more money to Microsoft is not my idea of fun). Has anyone else run into this problem, or have possible solutions?

What I've Tried:

• running the zip -F command
• running zip -FF
• running "7z e"
• running unzip
