Hi,

I've been searching google and the topics on this website constantly for the last couple of days

i seemed to not find anything about this

I created a exile server and i keep getting "Receiving Server Version" And I go Into The Logs And This Is What I See

Quote

"ExileServer - Server is loading..."
Client: Nonnetwork object 1cf47700.
"ExileServer - MySQL connection error!"
"ExileServer - Please have a look at @ExileServer/extDB/logs/ to find out what went wrong."
"ExileServer - MySQL Error: Unable to locate extDB2 extension!"
"ExileServer - Server will shutdown now :("

What I Think The Problems Are:

  • The Server Cannot Reach The Database
  • The Server Cannot Locate extDB2 Extension
  • I Keep Getting Receiving Server Version When my friends or I join the server

I Have gone through "extdb-conf" And checked that all the information in that file matched my SQL database. And Made changes to match the database.

I Have Searched The Forums And Google But have yet to come across something that fixes this problem.

My Operation System:

Windows Server 2008 R2

I Am Using TADST for my server.

My Skype:

MySql version?   needs to be at least 5.6

VCREdist Version? (install 2013 and 2015 32 and 64 bit if in doubt)

triple check your db login and password

Can you log into the db from navicat or mysql workbench?

6.3.6 would be the workbench version.  Mysql goes to 5.7.   The default installer probably named your Local Instance to MySQL56 or MySql57,  which would be a quick and dirty way of knowing which version you might have.

Did you disable Strict mode in Mysql?

If you are sure you have at least MySQL 5.6 or 5.7, and positive you configured the login and password correctly, then remove the CVredist 2013 and try again with the 2015.

if it says it cant locate extdb2, then thats where the error is.  download a fresh version and reinstall it, ensure its in the proper location. or one of its dependencies is not met.

i had troubles, and finally looked at the file itself and it was a zero byte file .. ftp will do that sometimes
