Won't even load/open for me, not sure why... EDIT: Self-fixed again, forgot I was starting vanilla so the Description.ext needed the #includes back again
-
-
Can confirm here too, started a vanilla server with just Exile and Infistar, kicks without an error anywhere. RPT is fine without errors EDIT: Seems either my download was corrupted or unzipped badly, as simply doing it again fixed it. Infistar is now not working however, as always, fix one problem 2 more appear

TurboDude555 started following Tanoa and APEX
-
That's some really nice clean trader work there. I too am holding off until full Apex release, as fun as it has been trying to run Exile on Apex Preview with it's updates every 5mins.... As for the "ka-ching-ing", I do believe we pretty much got our money's worth for Apex and all it brings. I know BI likes to let players without the DLC still play albeit with constant notifications, I can't see them doing that for Tanoa itself. I guess it'd be harder to put a restriction on that sort of thing apart from similar pop-ups or perhaps only playable in a sort of lower quality mode. Paywalls are a b*tch and it'd be nice if everyone can play the same thing together without restrictions that DLC brings

Um, I keep seeing "new reply" but there's nothing to see? Apparently I'm unable to see replies...I can see via email notification though lol. My file recorded is NOT the one I'm using I am trying to say. As far as I can see, some people dont even have that section in config its in description.ext, does it matter? I can't even see my own posts now let alone others EDIT: I don't even think my apology is there
-
Ah yes, that placement is definitely wrong too...looking into it Edit: Oh my other post isnt there? I was saying that isnt how my file looks, that's an older file
-
Actually no, on my actual client file currently its all at the top of the config, I recorded from the files another server owner sent back to me that still wasn't working (infact it was worse, the server did not load lol) #include "mostWanted_Client\Notifications.hpp" followed by the class CfgHints etc, I take it that is still incorrect? I noticed some people even have this bit in the Description.ext and not in Config, is there really a difference? Or am I confusing matters further?

Hello, original Turbo back again. I would like to apologise for my part of kicking off on the forums. It's been a clusterfuck of me making a simple mistake while moving code about trying to make it work over an 8hr period. I would politely like to make the suggestion that the install instructions don't say "put this anywhere in config.cpp" to avoid the confusion I got myself into after all the times I tried putting it different places. Hopefully now I know this, I can get it to work. I'm not trying to excuse kicking off, just explain myself and hold myself to a higher standard in future. Not really worth fucking up my YouTube channel over beef that wasn't really there after all. I should have spotted that mistake myself but hours of looking at the wrong code in the wrong place probably didn't help. Apologies again, hope we can move onward from this.

Nope, I fixed that. But nice attempt at looking for dirt -

Probably better than following the instructions from your "working one" lmao. Well, maybe it does work, but not with those instructions! Don't worry though, all this will make a great video about how it doesn't work after following the instructions and then how you lot react like arseholes to someone having problems -
Nobody asked you for your opinion again
-
Oh no please! I need to see more of the arrogant elitism! We're not worthy! I mean I'm not worthy! Nobody has ever followed these instructions and had issues!
-
Yeah so ignorant that NOT following your instructions has done more for me than following them lmao
-
If you've nothing useful to say, don't bother. I've already got past one apparent mistake in YOUR instructions. Putting code elsewhere and differently fixed one of the issues I had. Or I guess "magic server" since apparently you're soooooo damn infallible it should work with stock instructions
-
I gave up following the instructions and deviated to a way that made sense to me. Funnily enough I fixed a bunch off errors the instructions resulted in, but now I made some of my own. Might get this working myself yet!
-
This is what I did, narrowing down the possible problems. Even before doing on a test server, I had no special file requirements that would make the instructions not correct. I'm literally doing what is said and that alone causes issues. I'm at the point now where I can't even add the section to config.cpp or Arma won't launch and spouts the missing } bullshit. There is no missing anything, I literally have to copy a line of code in a suitable place
