    Trouble connecting to my server

    After multiple server reinstalls, wipes and mission files, I still cannot connect to my Tanoa server. I have: * Updated Client and Server to APEX Build * Mission File kind of load and but still says connecting failed * Change Exile.Tanoa in the Config Notes: * Server for some reason doesnt display [DEV] tags in the server list like most of them * This occurs in the ArmA 3 mod launcher while searching for my server * Im not sure how since when I update to Apex through my server host, it uses the steam update so it all should be configured. RPT Logs: [RPT Seems to look rather normal, server is initialising so it my be a problem on my side, still doesnt explain why the server does not display [DEV] Tags, If I cant sort this, I am willing to pay somebody £20/$27 dollar if they can install my server through my host with the mods I require, I will give you access to a Sub-Admin account. Thanks for any help
  2. Hey Guys So I am wanting to create a heavy Exile Esseker Roleplaying server, but before I do that, I would need to know if this community would be interested in such a server. Breakdown: The server will feature a heavy ruleset. Here are some examples: No Killing on Sight: - Killing on sight will only be allowed if the player follows an Initiation protocol. Powergaming: - Defined as knowing information that your character would not know in game. Backstories: - Players must have a detailed backstory and follow their backstory in game. Website Integration: It would be pretty much impossible to run an Roleplay server without web integration. This would include Forums, A Reputation System, Lore, Backstory, Clan Databases and Such. Mods: Mods will be implemented to help improve Roleplay. Such mods like ACRE, ACE and mods to make the experience more realistic. Realistic Setting: I myself would like to implement survivor outposts and camps to make it a lot more realistic. I would also like to add content that users can submit. Map: I would like to use Esseker because it is such a beautiful map. However, it is unfinished so Id have to consider Chernarus for the time being. Please leave your thoughts below. Thanks, z3sp.

    [WIP] Exile Hardcore Server

    Hello! Trawling through the forums, I saw that there was a demand for hardcore/realism servers. Well, your prayers have been answered, because id like to share some exciting news that I am currently working on fulfilling your desires! I would like to make my server unique, that stands out from your average vanilla exile servers, and that Is exactly my mission! So without further edo, id like to present some features that this server will include: - Alot of these features require custom coding, so may take some time to be implemented on my end. Gameplay: * Server will be locked to 1st person; custom code to be implemented which allows for 3rd person to be enter whilst building/in owned territory for ease, accuracy and simplicity. * Weather conditions will include fog, rain, thunder, lightning and all that fun jazz, as well as a realtime day/night cycle [GMT-00][UK Time] * Tactical Radio or other realism radio systems may/will be implemented * Armoured vehicles, gunships, fighter jets, any vehicle with weaponry will completely be removed, this is simply to cohere with my spin of "Exile Lore". Traders: * All vanilla Exile traders will be completely removed. New traders will be implemented as "Camps" rather than some spec ops guy selling every weapon. By camps, I mean small settlements, where an AI may sell the odd weapons and items. * Traders will be rotated around different spawns, and trader locations will be announced via the XM8 list or custom messages. * Traders will not be displayed on the map, but will be announced via a 6 figure grid reference instead. * High end/black market traders, could spawn in more areas than normal traders, will be harder to geographically access, may be concealed (In caves, shrubbery ect) * Prices will have a complete overhaul, higher end weapons and items will sell for a lot more but are much harder to obtain. * Traders will not sell every weapon and traders will come in tier categories such as Tier 1 Weapons, Tier 2 Weapons, Tier 3 Weapons, Tier 1 Items, so on so forth. * Player to Player trading/auction house will be implemented and accessible from the Centralised Hub [More on the Centralised Hub below Centralised Hub: * The Centralised Hub will be a settlement located in the middle of the map where players can trade items, group up, meet new people ect. * The Centralised Hub will be entirely custom made, will feature rest stops, gas stations, food traders, parking bays, helipads ect. * This is a community meeting point for players in the server looking to group up, or looking for survival supplies. * The Centralised Hub will feature an Admin zone, where you can personally come up to the Admins, ask them questions ect. This is an exciting project I am hoping to work on and I would definitely be up for any suggestions. improvements and feedback.     [WIP] Exile Hardcore Server

    1: Yeah you are correct, however, alot of servers simply just use rain and fog. But I want to increase the frequency of lightning and more heavy fog. 2: Also agreed, thanks for that feedback, I will have a think about that. 3: And thanks Map: Tanoa or Esseker, I really have not decided. I like Esseker because it has a more survival feel to it like Namalsk, but Tanoa is more of a fresh clean untouched map. As for the helicopters, I think there may be a way to incorporate a sort of Pilot training scheme which players have to pass in order to purchase and fly gunships ect. I really do like that Prison Island lore you have presented and I am very tempted to implement that as the servers conditions and lore. Thank you for your comments.

    Infistar whitelist steambanned player

    Best off contacting infistar or tagging him like so @infiSTAR *EDIT* Nevermind, you already tagged him My only solution would be to create a custom code within infistar on a sort of "If", "Then" and Or" code. (If VAC Banned then ban_for_steam_ban, or add exception using user ids). Personally I dont have it enabled due to many circumstances involving how players can be VAC banned (IE Stolen CDKeys/Accounts), there is no need in my opinion. The Anti-Hack and BE does a good enough job in keeping cheaters out anyway.

    Exile 3DEN Plugin

    I believe this will change the game for server owners and developers to make their servers unique. A common problem is people all using the same mission files, so server lack creativity, with these new updates, you can literally craft your server environment to your like, adding your own stamp and mark onto the server. Outfuckingstanding.

  9. I am having trouble connecting to my Tanoa server. I have used the "Upgrade to Apex Pre-Release Build" in my hosts panel, changed the required build in A3DS\server.cfg to requiredBuild = 137131; and it seems to be failing to connect "Connecting Failed" upon joining.     Got a feeling that this is a troll post, but Im answering it anyway because im that type of guy. Basically, you are missing mods that server uses. As you can see, this server requires those mods, but Community Base Addons is missing, so if I joined, I would get that error you posted. You need to download and enable all the required mods.

    Adding CUP

    I cannot get my head around loottables, compilers, traders ect. I am trying to add CUP Units, Vehicles and Weapons to both the loot tables and trader configs. I have tried but I am confusing myself too much. I have got as far as to compiling this: But I also need a trader list, categories and all that headthumping stuff to coincide with it. If anyone would be kind enough to help me, id appreciate it.

    Tanoa Servers

    How are people creating Tanoa servers? Thinking about setting one up and then setting up custom traders and such. However, I have the development build, but I cant find any mission files, server files or anything on the web. I tried using Steam Update through my hosting provider but it had done nothing, Thanks

    [District Se7en] Exile Namalsk

    District Se7en proudly presents and ArmA 3 Namalsk Exile Server! I started this server with the purpose of trying to revive the old style DayZ servers where it is more survival based rather than high loot/PvP based. So with that in mind, loot is scarce, weather conditions such as fog, overcast and rain play into the server. I want to try to recreate the awe and buzz back when ArmA IIs DayZ mod first came into the public domain. We have not packed the server full of high loot. The server runs Namalsk, as I feel that It is probably one of the best maps to recreate a survival feeling. We firmly believe that base building is the way forward, which is why we have increased the amount of items you can build in a territory by 20 for each level. We have a strong ruleset for base building, we dont want those eyesore sky bases which are built for PvP, we want nice, aesthetically pleasing organised bases. Server Mods [Required] @CBA_A3, @Exile, @Namalsk, @CUP_Weapons, @CUP_Units, @CUP_Vehicles. Additional Addons: MarXet: - A System that allows players to put items up on the market for a price they desire and other players can buy them. AKA Auction House, found in Trader City Defiants Mission System: - AI Group Spawning, Static and Dynamic Missions Exile Occupation: - A System that spawns AI to occupy towns and city, bambi AI [Friendly to Players] spawn and fight enemy AI, Random loot crates, Roaming AI and DayZ Styled Heli crash sites. Zupa Capture Points: - Allows Players to take control and capture a generated base for a set amount of time, capture it as a group or solo, once captured, a crate will parachute down and give weapons, clothing and poptabs as a reward. - AI is the first line of defence and will attack close to capture. Base is cleaned up [Deleted] via a carpet bomb 300 seconds after capture. We plan on implementing the following but I am having issues installing XM8 apps at the moment. - Virtual Garage - Lock Grinding - Base Hacking - Repair Mate - Recopies - Custom Airdrops [For Poptabs] - Deploy Bike Note: The server still needs quite a bit of tweaking, as do the forums, if you want to contribute to the forums, please do so, it will greatly help.     @Jamie Thanks, I did run into another issue, my server wont load (stuck on the first loading screen with the map). RPT says this File mpmissions\__cur_mp.Namalsk\description.ext, line 87: /CfgXM8/: Missing '}' line 87 of my description.ext is this though, #include "MarXet\dialog\RscMarXetDialog.hpp" So I am rather confused at this.   15. Hello, So it has been a year since I ran a successful DayZ server for ArmA 2. I quit it due to financing issues. However I am think of relaunching an Exile server. I see many Exile servers out there, a lot of them are the same, so what features would this community like to see in an Exile server? Examples: Roleplay Exile Server Different Maps WWII Exile Server More Military Style Servers? If I do decide to launch one, it will come with a fully functioning website and forum. Thanks

    Issues with Exile_Server_Config

    I am having some issues (Again). I am editing the starting loadout in Exile Server Config/Config.cpp. I am literally adding 3 lines of code to add a few extra items.     Okay, I have run in to some issues on my server. I seem to either be overcomplicating what goes where in regards to the startup parameters regarding Server Mods and Mods. I am trying to install the following Namalsk, Exile, CBA_A3, CUP Units, CUP Vehicles, CUP Weapons, CUP Terrains - Map and CUP Terrains - Core. I seem to struggle in as where they go in the command line parameters. Heres my current: -servermod=@ExileServer;@Namalsk -mod=@Exile;@Namalsk;@CBA_A3;@CUP_Terrains_Core-1.1.0;@CUP_Terrains_Maps-1.1.0;@CUP_Weapons;@CUP_Units;@CUP_Vehicles Now how do I determine which goes where for future reference? Ive heard some need to go in order so they are loaded first. Here is the interesting part: As you can see, this is what the expansions look like when filtering my server using DIRECT CONNECT Obviously Vehicles, Weapons and Units is missing. However, when I hit Recent Server and click the server, this is displayed: Now I will say, I can connect and play even though CBA is red. However, nothing from CUP spawns in, Weapons, Uniforms, Vehicles ect. I am really stumped, I believe it is merely an issue with the command line params. Thanks, z3sp.

  25. So I rented a server, and I am getting issues, the game is loading into a black loading screen. Simply put? I have not got a clue with startup parameters.
