    Concrete Constructions

I have always enjoyed playing/ running servers on Exile and the modifications, improvements that have been made thus far. I also believe that my comments at least were given over in both an adult and civilised manner considering my years and experiences I have no time for the childish and immature name calling, hating or abusive commentry of which there are a few. However, this being said you are the devs and therefore paying in kind by insulting and being condecending to those that play loyally due to a few out of place words is hardly mature or professional either regardless of the frustrations. I do understand your frustrations wholeheartedly and the fact that you cannot please all of the people all of the time, patience is a virtue. That's my two pence on that matter. One person stated that those that whine and moan hate or fear change, I live and work in a highly changing environment needing to constantly adapt to my task and surroundings so embrace the need for positive change, this being said if I see something I do not agree with I will speak out. I do not think that one person should consider they have the right to speak for the 'silent majority'. I am one of the so called 'silent majority' as anyone can see by my number of hours put in and the almost non existant number of posts I have written, and yet, I feel strongly that everyone has the utter right to their own opinion and I have stated mine in a respectful manner. I do not agree with the idea of fixed mixers, I do feel that it will be problematic considering the already constant problems I encounter with certain elements camping safe zones etc. I do think that they should be extremely rare or mission obtainable but require a flatbed or pick up to move them back to the safety of ones base or zone of comfort. I also realise that they can be customisable etc per server so no need to remind me there.

    Concrete Constructions

Regardless of whether this post is about the concrete constructions or not it will have a direct link to base raiding, you said it yourself in the very first two words you posted on this thread yet now you are attempting to move away from that because it is raising questions? I believe that everyone has the absolute right to their opinion, to dismiss them out of hand and insult them because they do not agree with you is a sign of a lack of regard or respect for those that play your mod with dedication. I myself have over 1500 hours in Exile since its creation and yet I permit myself as a dedicated player to disagree with the way this is being brought out. Points have been raised and they are valid, now, if you wish to listen only to those that agree with you then we will see the demise of a great mod as we have seen with mods before. I am all for concrete bases and all for mixers but again I am totally against the way in which you have put this idea forward and its future implementation. I believe, as I have stated earlier, that the mixers should be either mission lootable or extremely rare within the map to be fought over or taken by players that way. What you are intending to create within exile will be a 'PvP' (trolling and camping) focal point and nothing more as well we all know, you would have to be completely blind to the facts to think that it would be otherwise. The whole idea of exile I thought was to allow a freedom and balanced form of survival game play rather than just the usual humdrum 'bang bang! you're dead' reloot, go back, die, respawn scenario. I for one enjoy building bases, carrying out missions and general looting etc. I put a lot of time in and if PvP comes along at a mission or in a town so be it and I enjoy it but I don't actively look for it like some players do. With this I see little to no concrete building being carried out as many will resign themselves to either stay with easily raidable bases in wood ( due to 'rebalancing' ) or stop building bases completely.

    Concrete Constructions

Oh how bad is the idea of only 2 or 3 mixers on the map! let me count the ways! This will be perfect for the travel/ spawn campers or those that either don't want to or can't be bothered to make a base but a real frustration for those that do like the building aspect, particularly those playing solo or in small groups. Bases are already reasonably easy to raid, a few well placed satchel charges and you're in, hardly a titanic feat of effort needed! Now they want to make it even easier to raid bases whilst making the base building a damn sight harder ? I don't get that at all ? defeats the object of building in the first place. It's an utterly absurd idea to have that few on a map in my opinion and on fixed positions to boot. I am not sure where this idea came from ? Perhaps the server that the devs play on is all sweetness and light? It certainly is not on the one I play which, even on a really slow day, has 50 + players. I can see this being a serious bone of contention for many within the community. If they insist on doing this then I would much rather see them being extremely rare items, mission specific even. Let the fight be over it's posession not some ass with a sniper rifle and no base sat on it scoring points for the sake of it because it's bolted down.

    Night stalker too good?

I see no reason to remove the nightstalker, in fact my own TTRO server has it in though without the thermal capacity ( for now hopefully). We also added back in the navid and SPMG for sale etc, the hunter and strider HMG and changed the ludicrous prices of the vhls, waaaay to expensive Exile devs just way too expensive. Also upped the base size limit from 300 to 600 as that we felt was far too restrictive for our server.

rumour mill concerning piece restriction for building

Many thanks for the reply. It was neither a freak out, panic or to rumour but rather the opposite if you had read my post correctly. The problem with rumours being allowed to gather momentum is that they can often become further and further from the often grain of truth that may have started them getting blown out of all proportions, which, eventually does what the majority of rumours do best and cause more problems for more people. This is why I decided to post concerning this in order to get real clarification on the matter from the dev team Keep up the outstanding work.

rumour mill concerning piece restriction for building

The size was ridiculously restrictive 30 pieces for initial outlay then 60 pieces etc etc and for the cost in respect its just totally unrealistic to have such size restrictions especially when with a large group. Agreed there needs to be a middle ground but taking away what I and many others enjoy a lot in the game is just going to piss people off, because lets face it, restrictions like that its pointless even building in the first place. Also why would I complain to BIS when this is a rumour that Exile is carrying this out, therefore, it should be for the Exile devs to either confirm or deny such a rumour.
  9. There is a rumour circulating at the moment that bases will be restricted by Exile mod and not just individual servers.I have looked around on the forum and not seen anything written so if this could be either confirmed or denied in order to stop this sort of thing spreading. Should this be true it will be a serious game killer for a large number of players who enjoy this aspect, I for one will be seriously miffed should this happen and would more than likely effect my willingness to continue with this mod. This 'restriction' was temporarily placed on the server I play on and it caused a HUGE uproar with players leaving in numbers due to bases being destroyed when trying to move pieces etc. You can well imagine that this restriction was lifted on the very next server restart and seen to be completely detrimental to the game itself. I can say this from what I have seen on that certain server is, should this be implemented, i would expect to see a drop in player base not your fly by night PvPers but dedicated players and groups that have been playing from the start.

An answer to the 'crate' issue ?

These have been added to the server and are all very well and good, but, does not solve the real problem of having a storage capability that can be constructed in an already built and fortified area of a base without having to either plan ahead for or deconstruct hours of work in order to place it.

An answer to the 'crate' issue ?

With the continued, and, lets face it rather tedious and annoying ongoing problem with the crates is there any intention of bringing something else in as a storage device for loot and materials etc? I ask this because we have been faced with a plethora of problems regarding these crates not to mention the fact that they are woefully underspaced ( can barely fit 3 larger guns), unable to be stacked, despawning gear etc etc. Anyway I think that almost everyone has felt this frustration at one moment or another I certainly know that my group with over 50 crates before the last patch certainly felt it. This brings me to solutions....why not look to shelves similar to those used in epoch for example which are much easier to manage, easier to place and with more capacity within them certainly easier to control viz a viz them floating off and setting on fire in midair etc etc. If not this then something else as many of my fellow players on the server which we play on have 0 confidence in using them anymore despite assurances by some that the problems have been fixed...... Devs please your thoughts on this and what is going to happen moving forward would be appreciated. Cheers
