Been doing a lot of reading on these forums since a group of use have started playing exile. With regarding base and buildings, surely you should be able to break your way in to bases, or its just going to end up having a server full of people not leaving their bases. One of the main reason I was looking forward to this, was making a base as secure as possible and then try to raid others bases. But reading that when walls are reinforced you can't blow them it, for me, spoils it a bit. Is this a mod option or server side? I'm assuming its built into the mod. Would it not be better to double the amount (or more) to break into a reinforced wall to that of a normal wall?

Its simple, make the guns rare, then make the ammo even rarer, make people only use those guns when they have to.

Part of the problem with so many sever sitting empty in my opinion, is too many mods of this mod. I've stated this before. Now i understand why people add all the mods, to make your server more attractive to other players and get a full/more popular server. Its the same thing that happened to dayz. while it was just the base game there was loads of full servers. Then they added more maps, numbers on server spread. Then people started to add custom scripts/map locations this then spread the numbers over more servers, until you had about 5000 servers of which about 150 maybe had 3/4 full servers. Exile is going down the same route.

This is why we stopped hosting a exile server at ZiiP. 1st few weeks it was full, 3 or 4 good size groups on having a good laugh. Then an update put a few bugs in and people left. Then when they where fix, no one came back. Then people start to mod the mod and to me this is the main problem. We at ZiiP have been running servers since 2005, some of the guys from even before that. We've ran Arma server since dayz, had some good filled servers for a good few months, but then too many maps/mods came out to it. People start to jump and move and unless you can keep up/be ahead of others your server isnt going to stay full.

Thats what normally happens when the dbs get wiped. Full clean server

it would kill the performance of the server. 40 players 150m away from their base, all with AI guards. You'd end up with about 4 fps!

You complaint then isn't really about making or losing money but the fact that your getting kicked loads. Update battleye and/or play on better hosted servers. Also, if your getting loads of kicks, don't fly!! Get kicked while driving, vehicle doesn't fall and die.

Have to agree with you there. While its good that the mods are listening, I still feel vehicle balance is way off.

Always like the idea of study body. be a nice feature. You study body get a message like. "This looks like Player a. Single bullet wound to head with high caliber bullet. Body still warm" From that, you can figure out, he was sniped recently. Adds a bit to the game for me.

Would have preferred the hemmet and that to have more storage than the box vans and the stryders storage to be a lot less to stop it being op (imho) but looking good. Glad to see you are listening Eichi. -
Have you read anything on these forums at all? Nearly every thread on there about base raid, everyone has said the same thing! Put a timer in so that you can only raid a base after a set time after someone has logged off. And why you mentioned not donating and being happy about it I don't know. maybe you wanted a cookie.

Few bugs reported by a few of our guys at ZiiP One of the updates makes any c4 or explosive devices attacked to cars, helos etc fall off when entering a safe zone. Great....but it looks like it applies to towing cars too. Went into a safe zone and stopped completely and spun around. The car i was towing didnt blow up but needed a complete repair and my off road was on top of it. Managed to flip it off the car and repaired it. Attched it up again and went in more slowly. This time the car blew up and i was catapulted into the air while still in the off road car. Had to jump out but had no parachute . So looks like if you wanna tow a car to the trader....you have to drop it off outside of the zone.Also...the speed limit in the zone has been reduced to 20 mph or kph(...cant remember what speed indicator it is ). Not sure if its only with me...but sometimes when i was driving into the zone it reduced me to 20.....but i couldnt stop. Car kept going and crashed. Destroyed. So i got a quad and tried again.....didnt happen this time. Tried again and it did. Only way i could stop was to eject out and the quad stopped. just a few things to let you know

Variety is the spice of life, but some times (and for me in this case) too much choice isnt great. It spreads the player base and you end up with 100s of servers sitting with a few people on it just doing ai missions and building a base. I feel to give the mod so sort of longevity, it needs to have a more standardize base mod, with the options to turn on/off a few things. You mod the mod too much you end up needing, as stated, 4 different mods to play on 4 different servers which are all running exile. Does take long to add up that you spend more time turning off and on mods just to get to a server that has a few people on it to make it fun. But anyways, this is prob a conversation suited for its on thread and not for the no revive one, which I still think shouldn't be in the game, or very limited on how its done.

100% with you on this. Seen it happen with other mods. You mod the mod, the that mod gets modded and come 6 months down the line most servers have about 10 players on it. Put as much in the standard mod and leave it like that. Make it standardized for everyone, with some small levels of customization. Enough to make the server your own but not so much that your exile server is closer to dayz or wastelands than the next.

Dayz was like that after about the 1st year of the mod. No end game was the problem so most people just took to killing everyone. I know I sat with my as50 picking off people going for a heli. 1st few months of playing Dayz was great, miss them days. was hoping for that same feeling on exile of fear of running in to someone after getting good gear not knowing if you'll survive it or how to find your gear again. Thats half the problem with this mod in my eyes. No fear factor. Run in and die? Aww well, i'll spawn near a trader and buy all my stuff again. gets boring after a while. too much like wastelands. Exile needs that fear factory, so when you do go to raid, or get in to a fire fight you have to think, and not just run and gun.

Thats the players choice. You can play Dayz just to hid in the woods and survive.

Also doubles the size of the attacking team, if you can drag someone to safety and revive. We can argue you this over and over again. I'd prefer no revives, for the same reason you have stated, but i'm trying to offer a middle ground. If you kill someone, keep their body covered until the timer runs out, the lose that one revive and have to run back.
