As far as connections go this is a solid server for anyone on the east coast, frequent restarts and a really nice mix or gear and vehicles. Unfortunately that is where the positives stop. (Skip to last paragraph for the final thoughts)
While I am newer to exile then most (2 months game time) I made this account purely to leave this review. I've been on this server for about three weeks with several friends. Over our time there we have seen people come and go, but a constant was a single group of players, who never talked, never chatted in side chat, and never played friendly (This included new spawns). Known as the "Phantom Squad" they pretty much owned the server. Then a something happened. We returned to our base to find some guys attempting a break in, we dispatched them and saw their names...it was one of the admins. Knowing them kinda, I messaged the one named Patrick and asked if it was him. He reluctantly said yeah and that he didn't know it was our base (Having been relatively friendly with the Admins for a while) Some deaths on both sides occurred vehicles were blown up and for the most part it was even. Dispite this the other Admin Kaboose continued to snipe while Patrick ran around like a chicken with his head cut off. After a few hours my team was getting sick of literally going to "war" with the admins, and as anyone who plays server-based games...Admins always win. Sure enough the guys who sit afk all day long in the trader city suddenly were kitted up with everything from Lapua Magnum to the Chopper that continued to rain minigun fire down on us for over two hours.(It was also convenient that just the day before Patrick confiscated the Titan Launcher and its ammo from us, to stop us from shooting down annoying choppers) Eventually my team got offline because, well they have lives? Resulting in my final death, only to watch on as our base was satchel charged...Now don't get me wrong I know how the game is meant to be played, that is why I play it...but to find out that the Admins are the same guys as the "Phantom Squad" who are known for "owning" and killing everyone actually being the ones to own the server kinda pissed me off. Now I have no proof that they cheated, but its a fairly large coincidence if they aren't.
In the end it was made clear by the "admins" that if you do not play the way they want you to...ie let them walk into your base and steal your flag. They will pull out their big bad admin abilities and stomp your face in. As of this review I and my group of 7 are finding a different server. And I can't recommend it to anyone who wants to play on a "fair" or long term server. The only way I would ever suggest this community is if 1. There staff changed or 2. Their Staff was held accountable and not allowed to give themselves an unfair advantage. All in all the Admins (at least for Arma 3) were more like spoiled children playing with their new toys mommy and daddy gave them, then Administrators of a gaming server.
