  1. Need some help with this BattlEye filter exception. What am I doing wrong/is there another file I need to update too (such as scripts)? I've searched these forums and the internets high and low and can't seem to find a solution. Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated. I am running InfiStar if that makes a difference. The kick happens to the person reviving the dead body. Upon death, the countdown timer begins, and the option to 'Try Revive' is in the menu for the non-dead player. The player attempts the revive, and just before the action is complete, the player gets kicked, and the dead player remains dead. All aspects of this mod are working except for this BattlEye restriction.     Memory could not be read/written crash

    Excellent. Hopefully it does the trick! I still do get memory errors when loading into an Arma 3 server but I've found that when I Alt+Tab while the mission is loading, the memory error doesn't occur. I think I read somewhere Arma 3 tries to load something with the editor that the OS doesn't like. This is separate from in-game memory crashes, but good to know nonetheless!

    @Mail Escort I had a similar issue a few months back. I believe I toyed with my registry and deleted my Arma profile, but unfortunately I can't remember what actually fixed it. I would try deleting your profile(s) first. I quickly read through your post over at bistudio, and didn't see anything regarding profiles or registry edits, so I'm posting the link I used from the Steam Community regarding the topic I read through when I was troubleshooting HERE. ... a short Youtube vid I watched speaking more to profile removal HERE. Apologies for the crude response, I wish I remembered what I did to fix the issue. Hopefully this is something you haven't yet tried and you can get it resolved. Good luck!

  6. Community, I'm trying to add the bridge modeled by AhoyWorld found here into my mission.sqm. Using the Eden Editor, I was able to merge the sqm from the bridge into my Tanoa mission.sqm. I can see the bridge in the Eden editor when I play my server's mission.sqm scenario in Single Player mode through the editor. I packed the new mission.sqm into the Tanoa PBO and uploaded it to my server, however, the bridge is not visible when I log into the server in the mp mode. It should be noted I used the Eden Editor, not the Exile Editor plug in, and I didn't make the objects that make up the bridge 'simple objects'. What am I doing wrong? Am I missing an obvious step? Do I need to add the objects such as 'class Land_PierConcrete_01_16m_F' to any other files? Any help would be awesome, thanks!!

    1. I figured out the original issue...apparently making sure you are FTP'd to your main server and not the headless client is something you double-check. Duh! 2. @Z80CPU thanks for the replies, I was considering adding these as well, or in place of AhoyWorld's. The only thing keeping me from doing so was not knowing if watercraft could pass freely underneath. I think you just sold me on them!

  9. Community, Any mods you are aware of that link the islands in the south of Tanoa to the mainland AND have the capability to pass underneath? I saw the one covering Madman Straights, but I'm not sure that is passable underneath. Thanks!

    Would anyone be willing to share their portion of .hpp file for the building locations within the radiation zone? I just realized the file I'm running is for Ghost Town...no wonder the same loot is spawning as in the non-radiation areas of the map. My radiation zone is the standard...left side of the map on the island.
  14. @jimmya3 thanks for the suggestion. I'll definitely give it a try. I'm running 2 servers, one public and the other as a sandbox. I run both InfiSTAR and BattlEye, and I'm heavily considering just going with InfiSTAR. I've got log files I can review if there are any instances of 'odd' behavior. BattlEye is running on my sandbox and it is extremely finicky--especially with the number of mods I'm running. Thank you again, and I'll let you know how it turns out!

  16. From what you are describing, it sounds like a .sqf file is not being called either because you have a typo, it's in the wrong place, or not there are all. The location of the defib doesn't matter--as long as it is on your person somewhere. It really sounds like you've skipped a step. Make sure you followed the install instructions to the letter and didn't skip a step or edit a file incorrectly. Even something as an extra character space could be doing you in. Make sure the correct files are in both your ExileServer folder and in your MPMissions\exile.whatever_map_you_run folder. If it's correct, you should see a message like 'Loading Enigma Exile Revive'. Finally, check your arma3server logs to see if there is an error being thrown there...that may tell you where the issue is and where to being troubleshooting. Its a pain in the ass, but good practice: revert back to your pre-Enigma backup and install Enigma again. Be meticulous. It will give you a better understanding of what files do what, the C++ language, etc. Knowing where everything is and how it relates is half the battle when you will inevitably need to troubleshoot future issues.

    Loot Tables Made Easy

    Any updates on this? I'm running into the same issue as @Bob_the_K. In addition, as I'm sure Bob's is too, my Items are coded in the following format: {196.850393700787, "Chemlight_green"}, // 1.97%. Update: For what its worth, I did manage to update my loot tables (successfully) without the compiler using an Excel spreadsheet and the 'Text to Columns' along with the CONCATENATE formula. It wasn't too complicated, but quite a bit of busy work. If anyone is interested, I'd be happy to walk you through the process--just PM me. If there is a large enough response, I'll take the time to lay out the steps in detail.

    @Highlander Yes this seems to be a glitch. It's the same on our server. I think you mean 200 rounds though.   19. Is anyone running GR8's Secure Safe Zones mod on their 1.0.2 server? If so, any compatibility issues? I searched at length and couldn't find anything in these forums or on the net. The mod on github was last updated 5 months ago. If not GR8's, any suggested alternatives? Thanks!

    @Mas vehicle and weapon mods

    You have them in both your ExileServer\Addons and in your mission.pbo? Dumb question, but did you make sure you enabled them via your config, so they appear in-game at traders, etc? Also, did you copy mas.bikey into your Keys folder? (You only need 1 key for both Weapons and Vehicles, and it doesn't matter which one you pick from either install pack).

    Wasn't meant to be insulting, more as a matter of fact. In many instances, it's the necessary response especially in terms of cost/benefit as the time and resources spent chasing rabbit holes would be crippling. In my Bambi state, I am ignorant to who the members of this forum are and I certainly didn't expect QGS to reply--let alone in under an hour--to my post. That's actually pretty cool and impressive. Now I've gotta check my host is a member here before I open my mouth in the future haha. From the customer's perspective, it's naturally on the providers side. From the providers perspective, it's naturally on the customer's side. When filing a help ticket, make sure it's iron clad and you've done your due diligence to troubleshoot/cover all the bases on your end. That way, it skips the unnecessary preliminary steps of where the issue 'probably' resides and the solutioning can happen faster. TL;DR I hope there are no more crashes and Arma stops being a bitch.

    I've been running infiSTAR for Exile v0061 (24 Sept 2016) release with no issues, while doing a ton of modding and updating of other addons. As for the quote, take it from a consultant in the tech industry, the easiest way out of 'I don't know what the issue is, and not spending the time to figure it out.' is to lay the issue on the code/program/software/etc that wasn't produced by you or your company--unfortunately. 1 crash is annoying enough, let alone 2. I'd wait until you (hopefully not) see consistent or persistent crashing over the coming days and then try a rollback. If you are still crashing after that (I'd say the very first time), immediately go back to the GSP and make the case that you rolled back any recent changes--with no resolution. Hopefully this will force them to take a serious look at their end.
