Just a heads up re the Raptors, after watching there behaviour in a ai vs raptor situation they are not responding to being shot at all they just seem to stroll around completely oblivious to the fact they are being killed. I am assuming they use the same ai logic as the rest of the ai, at least in fums, as they are coded in using the same variables, ie "EAST","COMBAT","RED","LINE", I know one player has been killed by them so I do not know if it is only other ai that they seem to have a problem with. Just to mention I am using opposing ai West so it should not be a faction issue although it might be worth trying Guerilla in the mix somewhere but I am just clutching at straws at the moment.

Had an encounter last night when they spawned in on us when we were not very far from the vehicle I got in first and one came straight at me even though I was inside , my partner made it inside and we drove off at full speed they chased us for awhile until we got out of sight. I found lag very obvious when I initially loaded up Fums, Ai, Raptors included, where walking and running on the spot etc but I very soon started taking everything else out I could and then slowly added missions one by one all the time checking Ai movement for signs of lag, one things for sure my HC cannot run everything together, Zombie missions being one of the most demanding so I am trying to get to a sweet spot with the number and type of missions and themes involved. If the H client disconnects you will see it in the bottom left hand corner of the screen just like you would see any other player disconnect/connect, this would show in the rpt aswell because fums monitors this what may not seem so evident is lag produced by latency. I think different HC setups will perform better or worse latency being a major factor, possibly running HC on the same box but different cores may be the better option to eliminate delays through external networks probably the key is finding a hosting service that is well up on the technical side of HC relating to performance but one thing I have found is getting a premium setup costs premium money so it may be a case of falling back on that old adage "You get what you pay for". It seems that HC is in it's infancy regarding Arma and hosting but once you have used it you will not want go back to a single server, at least I don't although I might have to due to cost, the problem is that with mods like Exile is you invariably have to throw in a few more scripts to give the added playability that most people want which is ok until you get to AI numbers then things start heading downhill pretty fast.

Just found out I had it right from the beginning it was just misreported, the only thing I can say re the Raptors is when confronted with a vehicle they tend to just bump into it and roll around then get up other then that it is still early days using them.

Looking through the sqf's from the rest of the missions nothing else seems to match what I am seeing so I need to do more testing as you suggest, I wonder if I can turn these missions on and of through the ThemeData file, again more testing. The more I delve into FuMs the more I appreciate the potential of this mission system I think this is going to keep me busy for awhile. Thank you for your help.

Thanks for the heads up, strangely I did go to playerwatch as my first option and edited smallband.sqf believing that this may be the encounter with 3 rifleman that I wanted to change to raptors so I simply replaced w- those with raptors but I am still getting rifleman so do not know what other mission sqf would be responsible.

Does anyone know where the script is that controls the random encounters that are preceded by "You hear abnormal radio noise", I have been pouring through the pbo for hours but cannot seem to find this function.

Snipers and ghillies do spawn in upper class buildings, I am using Tanoa by the way, but if I am honest Exile like Epoch , in their vanilla form, is not the game I envisage but usefull to use as a resource to that end, I guess I am just complaining about the amount of time I have to put in to get a little closer to my ideal.

Player corpse falls from destroyed vehicle.

That is frutrating I know I have been there, you maybe able to get around this by making the vehicle cleanup time faster then the corpse cleanup though. -
What I would really like to see is loot graded by location like the original Dayz, for instance high level guns should only be available at certain locations and be rare at the moment there is no real reason to go to the radiation zone as the weapons found there are also to be found in upper class buildings on the rest of the map consequently players achieve their gun targets to quickly. I know I can edit the loot table which is what I have had to do when running an Epoch server but I think this should not be necessary.

Thanks a lot I will give that a go Yep that did the trick

Would someone be kind enough to post a cpbo packed server pbo as I cannot get cpbo to work on my pc.
