I'm curious, why can't we see the ammo count from a seat that can take control of weapon systems in vehicles (e.g. Pilot's seat in any attack heli)? Surely there can be a way for a tertiary HUD element to pop up when those weapon systems are engaged. Hell, even some attack helis with pilot weapons available don't have ammo counters. Vice-versa for being in a co-pilot's seat and not seeing your speed and altitude. Speaking of HUD elements, can the speed/ammo counter on the bottom right be moved somewhere else? As it stands, Steam's popup notifications constantly block that info when a friend comes online or starts a game. Yes, I know I can disable Steam's ingame UI, but I like it on to collaborate with friends planning to join me in a server. Actually, why not have the HUD elements at the bottom (with exception of the vitals bar at bottom center) moved to the top, where the Arma 3 vanilla elements were, and have the group list at the bottom left? I would love to know the reasons behind the HUD/UI placements and why they are the way they are. Thanks!

Where? Closest thing I have is setting the position of the FPS counter.

If melee items (Axe, Shovel, Sledgehammer) could do damage to players, that'd be cool - go back to the humiliation kills from Arma 2 DayZ, lol.

Is it too early to start submitting requests for the Exile-to-be? Like, I'd love it if Exile used the default Arma 3 UI, because that's not getting blocked by Steam notifications and such, plus all the additional extra info (flares left in aircraft/smokescreens in vehicles, etc). And maybe the bikes won't be so OP at being tank traps for everything, lol.

I posted about this a while back, wanting to revert back to the default Arma 3 HUD/UI:

Turns out that Exile 1.0.1 reset to the default values for supply drops when the owner initially set the drops to occur when there was at least 1 player online (the server is sadly unpopulated...). Default value is 10 players must be online for the drops to occur. Thanks for the help, guys!

Now, I don't know if this is the correct section to ask, because I don't know if this is a bug, a feature removal, or what. But I haven't been seeing the notifications for supply drops anymore, was this removed? Like, was the whole supply drop event completely removed, or were the notifications dropped? I tend to use them as storage, since I hoard gear n stuff, for when I get killed and can't retrieve my body. As seen here: http://www.omegaforcegaming.com/forum_threads/2524556 I mention this to the server owner, and he says that nothing was changed, and that the notifications may have been removed. Anybody got an idea? I don't really want to have to fly from runway to runway every 10 minutes just to check where a drop may have landed.
-
He says that he didn't change anything when Exile 1.0.1 rolled around, yet there are no Supply Drop notifications, and no icons on the map. Is there a specific line in the code that enables/disables the drops?

Always drive around with a Strider. Thing's built like a tank, but goes nearly as fast as an Offroad pickup. Went airborne going offroad doing like 100+ and crashed into a boulder. Only lost 1 wheel. Can also do crazy fucking flips that makes you lose health, but have no damage done to the vehicle itself. It's bat shit insane how that thing survives. Oh, and it's amphibious. Best LRV, hands-down.
-
Huh, guess I'll have to double check with the server owner, then.
-
Not as hard as those damn bicycles, though...

Possibly add Barricading or Farming into exile?

There's no point in adding barricading options when a potential earthquake has the chance to destroy the building you based in (yay 1.0.1 updates ). I would love to have fishing, or some other way of obtaining food besides canned/dry foods and drinks. -
Might want to put that first paragraph into its own quote, lol. Almost mistook it for you saying that.

Can confirm. I've been hit by AI more than enough times to verify that if a certain caliber hits you, it can cause you to bleed out and die. Gotta be quick with those InstaDocs.
-
I'm fairly certain this could apply to PvP as well. Get wounded enough to bleed, but not killed outright. Haven't seen this happen yet (in PvP), but it's a possibility.
-
Fuck those damn bikes, seriously. They will literally kill you regardless if you drive into them, or have a friend that's turning the damn thing at less than 3kph next to you I'm not an admin of any server, I just play on one that has access to all those vehicles, lol. Who needs balance when they're being used for base defense against AI? Although I do like using my Apache against mission AI, too ^^

I love the BTR-90, since I go solo 95% of the time. 4 weapons in the gunner's seat to choose from: 30mm main cannon, AP or HE rounds, 2 speeds; 7.62mm coaxial; missile launcher that follows your crosshairs; 40mm GMG. The Tunguska is ridiculously OP for an AA tank: 30mm autocannons that automatically lead targets when locked-on & 8 AA missiles that can target and kill up to 7.3km away, if not more. (I do have screenshots of me getting AA missile kills on AI at nearly 7.3km!) For aircraft, I love the Apache Ground-Suppression variant: 20mm chain gun and 72 dumbfire missiles. Chaingun for other helicopters, missiles for ground targets.

*shrugs* So long as I get a response, it's all good :3

If you've ever played the campaign, CSAT was helping the AAF eliminate NATO forces on Stratis/Altis while simultaneously getting rid of the guerrilla faction (FIA) in order to make the Republic of Altis & Stratis their own nation or something. (its been a while since I've beaten the main campaign :p) EDIT: 50th post and 20th liked post, yay :3
-
Quote from http://armedassault.wikia.com/wiki/CSAT: So it's natural that some of the soldiers would have "muslim" names, but it looks like all of the forces on Altis/Stratis are entirely comprised of Iranian/Middle Eastern soldiers.

I can wait :3

IIRC, Epoch had a fishing mechanic (might be remembering this from old Arma 2 DayZ days :p), so maybe you could ask the devs there how they did it?
-
I would like a dev, or someone on the team to come forward and inject some facts, as I've suggested this change to the owner of the sever I frequent (Hi JohnJohns!), and he says it doesn't sound as easy as people are making it out to be.
-
As it stands, there isn't much to do out on the water while playing Exile. Using the shipwrecks already available to turn them into something worth diving for (e.g. treasure chests/boxes from Epoch), water patrols/missions (I have no idea if that's locked to server scripts/missions or Exile mod itself) or something for players to do in general would be a neat thing to do, imo.

IIRC, the new loading screens can be disabled to bring back the lobby, but it's a server-by-server basis. Correct me if I'm wrong. But yes, I miss the lobby, too.
