FOR GAWD SAKES READ, and make your own Batchfiles, dont be a dum ass and run my personal scripts... If you dont know how to use batchfiles dont mess around here. Go away. Here is one i use, that does very well. V1.0 It Xcopies C:\Arma stored server (directory) all files *.* then copies the files to your backup Location it passes arguments /e/h/k/y/z /e : Copies all subdirectories, even if they are empty. Use /e with the /s and /t command-line options. /h : Copies files with hidden and system file attributes. By default, xcopy does not copy hidden or system files. /k : Copies files and retains the read-only attribute on destination files if present on the source files. By default, xcopy removes the read-only attribute. /y : Suppresses prompting to confirm that you want to overwrite an existing destination file. /z : Copies over a network in restartable mode. Change your settings to your own Server Directory, and Backup Drive file locations. sounds like this was a hard one guys. Sorry everyone at exile had to go through all this and especially the server ops out there. Ill just hold off for awhile, until its patched correctly by BI then Exile. This way i wont over do more work then needed. I haven't followed it until now, seeing it made me wonder how much work was involved. Good luck on it Guys! Sneaks

Eichi is correct, it gets messy when you have AI vehicles being bought. I made the mistake to add it to both, and hmmm lets say it came out that very night :)- 3 replies

Removing Loot from Trade / Safe zones??

Sometimes i wonder once you spawn it, and change values the database has it stored. Maybe try clearing the database with the new values might fix this issue if set to 500? Is it a common thing with settings and the database? i don't know but sure seems logical to test this. -

I am assuming this cpu runs arma 3 very well? Intel Xeon E5-2698 v3 @ 2.30GHz For the server only.

So whats the best server to run arma 3, and exile. Specs please, would help. Do not count the poor performance now, just use examples of 100 man server running flawless. I see many threads on FPS, GHZ, Cores.... which none of you can agree on. A lower end Half ass server runs fine on i5 16gb 100d, 20up for 7-10 players.

It should be persistent if you add them by name. It then copies it to the database, and if they get booted, it rejoins them to the group. Unless the group leaders hit remove. Same should apply for clans. Clans apply to each server, as a new clan. Each person they add by Steam ID. This way you wont have name problems for your clan. Unique ID's are very important and can be looked up easily. A name just doesn't do it for protection. A SQL database query is done, adding or removing clan members. -
More information on the Valve Anti-Cheat System (VAC):Valve Anti-Cheat System If you are playing on an unsecured server, you may wish to report cheating to a server administrator - Steam Support cannot ban players for activities on unsecured servers. so its pointless to even worry about Vac bans, unless its important to have dates. Which i would be willing to accept if it was a friend of a friend of a friend and you vouched for them. Most cases ill never unlock my server hahah. I still think very strongly about Bans in general, and everyone should have a fair chance in proving themselves. If it was the simple case of FOV changes, why on earth did they not backwards un ban those players. it was simply a game adjustment. I am thinking it may have been something else. I have yet to see a vac ban for FOV changes in Dayz. Which i use to cure headaches only.

Once a thief always a thief, once a cheater, always a cheater? I disagree, i believe people should be concerned with your account, that if you purchase a game with the sole intention of cheating others out of their money in some cases people leave games due to hacks being bought. Nobody wants to compete against the win win button, so why should i or anyone else feel badly when our 70 dollars in arma's case 150 dollars is what i spent or was it 200 almost. I say vac bans protects players, let them purchase a new account or something. Those FOV changes, are not valid steam bans. I am talking about actual hacks they purchase. They have the right to submit a case against steam vac bans. How many of those are already over turned? We don't know.

If your using notepad plus but haven't used Compare plugin, its a free open source file and allows you to compare file by file in split screen view. I am sure there are many others with advanced experience in this. Notepad ++ https://notepad-plus-plus.org/ Notepad ++ Compare Function plugin http://sourceforge.net/projects/npp-compare/ as the read me states, To install copy ComparePlugin.dll into the plugins directory C:\Program Files\Notepad++\Plugins open two files, drag the one file over into split screen view and compare files. 5 slot hotbar works for me. In most MMO type games they use hotbars. No reason a sandbox game like exile couldn't do the same thing. If someone can get a better system with axe and swords sky's the limit on what can be used in hotbars.

RHS and TRYK clothing in trader and loot tables

This is common error i was getting too. There are a few items not worth putting in. You need to go see it at the trader, then remove them 1 by one. I found the same with Mas, i was missing ammo, or forgot to add it to the trader from the bottom lines. Otherwise both work well, and items do spawn if you add them to the spawn list. -

This might be a fix that Face was suggesting with arma 3, it is not the AI as much as the 1.52 patch. Help here please?

The game freezes when loading objects. 1 to 4 seconds on ours. Others from those topics are 5 minutes i read. -

You could take it a step further and highlight the persons name and send a voice coms to them directly in game. However this may or may not cause some client side issues with support. Otherwise a nice txt message would be cool. -

This also might be why i have things like this in the rpt (which i have been ignoring until now) 16:31:34 Warning Message: You cannot play/edit this mission; it is dependent on downloadable content that has been deleted. mas_weapons_pack Same applies to the Tryk poping up. A3ai also removes the items, invalid class names in array. So i haven't been keeping up lately Poor admin id say lmao! Or incorrect version. Make sure when messing with server configurations to use armaholic's site and look for the most current. using A3 or play with 6 can cause all kinds of issues for others connecting to your server. Link on your site, to armaholic's downloads and you should be fine. Making sure that the mission.sqm and the mods are present in the server folder. Otherwise you end up with tons of problems like 1. Not saving items to the database 2. Vendors do not have the listed items 3. People cant connect You also have to add the mas items to the config.cpp --> serverpbo if you wish them to drop as loot. (or finding a way to overwrite the config.cpp file) also making sure you add them to the config.cpp in the mission folder if you want them on the vendors list example above and below those lines are the tables.

use Meca tool and raise the items to get the coords. Then you should be able to figure out a mapping guide for height from your output. It shouldn't matter if its static item or loot table, as it will appear its on the shelf but actually in the air. This might work and it might not be exactly what your looking for. 0.584213 height by the object I had to reduce the res on my monitor to get the numbers to show up so i could read them right. 8's look like 3's etc... I am not sure if they opened up the ability to change the loot within Exile like this. _lootPosition = ASLToATL (AGLToASL (_building modelToWorld _x)); if (_lootPosition select 2 < 0.05) then { _lootPosition set [2, 0.05]; }; You might have to do an override sqf and change the static areas. I haven't reamed through the code to figure it out, done quickly before work.
