First-person server with balanced loot on 20.4x20.4km Swiss map "Napf"

Bohemia has released ArmA 3 a while ago, but there weren't really any decent DayZ-reminiscent mods around… until very recently! With the promotion of FrankieOnPCIn1080p, a mod called "Exile" quickly gained traction, and is now run on ONE THIRD of all ArmA 3 servers. A particular addition to that mod introduced something that I had almost lost hope of ever seeing in ArmA 3 since DayZ went standalone, actual and good performing zombies! I'm talking about Ryan Dombrowsky's "Zombies and Demons" addon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t9UDsV4-yws This video shows the mod's sheer capabilities of spawning HUNDREDS of zombie AI with proper animations, and of course it is also worth watching because it's accompanied by MAD MAX's movie soundtrack : D That in combination with the "Exile" base-mod (which is in VERY active development), all the weapon- and map-packs from ArmA 2, and a our favorite Switzerland-themed and pretty map named "Napf", yields a new exciting approach to the idea of survival against the undead. So what's different server-wise? This time, we have Bulgarian friends who also happen to be programmers on board, and who kindly agreed to host this fun experience on their own very powerful custom PC, running Intel's latest i75820k CPU. That means, we don't rely on donations and can pretty much run this server indefinitely! So shout out to them! : D Another neat thing about ArmA 3's technical advances is that it's now very easy to offload AI to either a different process on the same machine or entirely onto a different machine that doesn't even have to be on the same network. What this means is that one could theoretically run several hundreds of AI. For that purpose, we offloaded the AI calculations to two separate clients, so called "headless clients". Oh hello fellow countryman! We're currently still setting up an Exile server and plan to open officially around Easter. If you want you can already come play with some Swiss and Bulgarian folks. We're usually very active on weekends. Server: 78.130.192.206:2303 http://master.bistudio.com/?page=1&count=10&filter%5Bname%5D=atradjan&game_id=6 Required mods (Will automatically get downloaded upon joining via Steam's ArmA 3 launcher, except for Exile): - Exile - Esseker - Zombies and Demons - CBA_A3 - CUP Weapons - CUP Units - CUP Vehicles - CUP Terrains - Core - CUP Terrains - Maps - TRYK's Multi-Play Uniform's pack It's got roaming AI (A3XAI), as well as AI missions (FUMS), which are both run on two separate headless clients, and Ryan's zombies on the server instance. We've also completely revamped the loottable, as well as traders (let's face it, default ones are garbage), and it's now much more balanced. Seeing as you're a "veteran player", you might also like that 3rd person is only allowed in vehicles, with the cross-hair having been removed altogether. Hi We've noticed that the server spawns a large amount of vehicles outside the map on Esseker. It's probably not fetching the mapsize properly from the template. Does anyone know where to configure this?

We use CUP, not really eager to jump to AiA, as it's not on Steam workshop and hence more of a hassle for clients to join. Did it work for you from the beginning or did you have to change some things? -

We tried to add the esseker tree models to the config.cpp file like this Even though we added every single tree additionally to the prefixes at the beginning of this code, only some trees like "t_picea3f", and "t_pinusS2f" ended up working. We also have the 0.9.41 hotfix enabled, so it's not that. -

same problem here, running v0033 HC disconnects repeatedly after ~2.5min
