    I second that. Having the option to remove a lock and get it back in your inventory would be nice.

    Yes. And it's not just water. Food and fortification upgrades aswell. I'm guessing you have your fireplace inside your base? Place the fireplace on the outside next to a wall or something, and you can cook from within your base. That's the only workaround for now.
