  2. Hello everyone, we understand ourselves as a community of players who are enjoying nice teamplay and a good laugh. Our members have their origins mostly in europe and some in the US, mostly east coast. Arma3 Exile is a project of us since beginning of january 2016 and we host our servers ourselves, as like them and take care that everything is running fair and legit. Members of iECP are not bound to a single game or have any jobs or daily tasks by default. But there's room to join more responsable ranks. This is appreciated ofc. I won't list the default things we provide for you. We are existing since 1999. (No need to use it all the time or every day) English should be understood and you should be able to form some kind of understandable sentences (Feel free to see our teamspeak as a tool to learn to speak english better.) Creating account on ironeclipse.eu (Steam auth), read the rules and use application button to apply for 14 days trial. (Every member can vote for or against you then). A membership is always beyond Exile activies. What we are doing Most of the time we play especially during the evening/night hours starting 19:00 CET to 03:00 CET (some members don't need sleep, I think). But this is the reason for having US guys from the east coast, it's a good timeframe to play together. Events. We are running events pretty regularly in the games we play. iECP is managing those and plays the oposition to the public players on our servers. In Exile specific we develop, test and run our servers as well playing on those with normal and legit player accounts. Enjoying the community sometimes without playing or playing together. Many of the members got friends overtime. Which we are proud of. What we providing NPL Teamspeak3 - 512 slots (in case of we need that some day... Would be cool, but as longer as I think about it.. nah too much work to manage this ) Several servers running all our services by ourselves. Website, Exile Servers, (Sometimes other gameservers like CS:GO, Terraria and other strange ideas... we had once) Community Plattform with internal and public areas, as well as a youtube channel. We are Friendly Mature Loving sandbox games Balanced between discipline and a good laugh Sometimes too serious but never extrem in anyway Here to stay... ----- We are a little bit low on Exile video material atm, but take a look on that one and Exo's perspective of one of our events (English/German language Mix)

    If I read this, I have the feeling that it's still very unclear what Exile really is for each player. For my understanding, Exile is a survival orientated mod with pvp elements and basebuilding. So it provides not enough features to position itself clearly as a "survival / basebuilding / progression" or a "pvp / gear-up / die|kill" mod. There's no question about the technical way to implement money physically. @eraser1 mentioned that well. And it's was done already in different ways. Hard cash would make sense to be stored in a safe. For a safe you need a base. So you have something todo, next to pvp. If you don't have a base or a place to basically store your "stolen" goods from others in pvp, you will loose it by yourself sooner or later. This will drive players more into the additional things exile does offer or will do in future. Keyword: Endgame. Overall hard cash (without Banking!) would add depth to the exile idea. (As far as I understood the idea ). -- Imo that would be a great addition since I think exile on a "easy-gearup-go-kill" level supported by the basic vanilla version, will/would make exile interchangable with the next mod to come which will have an item orientated loot system, gear to find, some objects to place system.

    Exile Problem

    Ne sonst würds gehen. Hast du die korrekte server Config mitgegeben in der die Mission Exile.Altis konfiguriert wurde mit Schwierigskeitgrad etc.? Der Bildschirm den du siehst, der kommt wenn du keine Mission vorgibst. Das darf dann der erste Spieler einstellen Zeig mal deine Startparameter vom Server und die Serverconfig die du lädst.
  8. Really recommend to use the loottable compiler. Next time you want to make any single small change, you ask again and stuck. The compiler sums and sort the config you provide. Doing this by hand is pointless and full of error sources. This is a very basic thing and should be understood before proceed modding. If you are willing to learn I can give you some examples for MAS weapons and how the 2 *.h files in the compiler working together. Its just a matter of under one minute make a change to the loot table, compile it, copy&paste it into your config.cpp. Thats it. No, it will not. Not part of the topic, but: (Personal Tipp: decide for one of the weapon addons, do not use both a the same time. They aren't really combinable and have nearly the same choice of weapons. Its weired for the players if you want to have AKs or M4s of both for example.)

    Sounds like a typical problem with broken bits and needles somewhere in the haystack. Exile uses postprocess filters pretty early on start. Some compontent tries to call DirectX and fails. We had similar problems after arma3 crashes or try to run to clients/servers at the same time out of the same directoy (by missclick ofc :)). Files can get corrupted, like configs, gamesfiles, directx etc. Tip: You dont need to reinstall a steam game, the files which would be loaded will be checksummed anyway. So just revalidate them. This is what I would try first: Change or Reset your video settings. Cycle through window/windowed/fullscreen. (Or: move to your userdocuments in your arma folder and rename your .cfg to .cfg.OLD and test it again) Revalidate your Arma3 files deactivate all services which injects somehow into your DirectX (Overwolf, Shadowplay, fraps etc.) Try different Launcher A3Launcher and Arma3 Deactivate as most processes and services as possible which are currently running on your system (Do not run server and client from the same installation, if you do that) If nothing helps: (Repair/install directX again)

    Starting a new server?

    Hey there, I think there are a lot imaginations out there in the players community. Every player thought about being a game dev someday, I bet. Most don't really know what that means, to be a developer or specific a game designer. So, if you take a look on arma3server, you will see how easy it is (on the first look ...) to host a server and mod it. If players have a decent private internet connection, they just don't host their servers on dedicated machines, with restarting processes, backups, sql-dumps, monitoring and dedicated optimized ressource pools etc, using IDEs or versioned-deployment. The Zero-Experience-average-player-admin then comes really quick to the point where he gonna stuck and gets frustrated pretty suddenly, because several different things are not working, starting or are not realizable, because of missing skills they never had/learned. (Starting with missing commas etc., begging for battleye filters or asking for coordinates.) After a while of frustration the private project gets pretty fast into demise and disappears. (The abandonned Exile vanilla server on altis with bad pings ) --- The topic about the "many empty servers" is invalid. (2 players per server / average) It doesn't matter, those servers mostly do not create any communities. They exist somewhere in on the bottom of the server browser. The exile players will search for the right server until it fits what he was looking for, as always in life. -- Personally for me it's a bit like red_ned. It's starts 1999 as a hobby to host the "clan" stuff, deployed a dedicated server for a Ultima Online private shard and later went through games and time till getting to arma3 now. Doing this for work/business, but not in gaming industry. I think I enjoy it to combine my gaming hobby with my passion of being dev at work. There's no really timeline, project schedule or deadline you need to keep in mind. If you are doing this more than several hundered hours per project, looking more into consoles and IDEs instead of the actual game client, you have the right dedication and addiction to fit into the role of a developer. Then you love it and you will get things done. I personally love the part of this job when after frustration phase (3am in the morning), the moment of success just kicks in and everything is running fine. Last but not least, I like to spend effort on things and create stuff others will use later. regards

    Everything fine after eden update. Sometimes I've the feeling everything takes a little longer until it spawns.

    Hey everyone, after using ExileZ / Ryanzombies for a while now, I want to give a little feedback about how it's running on our servers. This isn't really new, but how it runs on our environments: Basically the main server is running on linux, and have no issuses with load/performance. When I test it on a windows server (windows server 2012) memory usage is constantly raising. On some point it cashes then. Amount of players/load is just a matter of time, it will crash. Server restart doesn't help there, I think the memory isn't released without killing the task completly. (Restart should be on system layer, but that would kick everyone very often, so this isn't an option) Same happens to any windows HC client. Linux HC is working fine instead. We cannot use any HC on windows atm. Overall ExileZ looks and feels great, easy to configure and easy to update per version over git. Really appreciate your work here @Patrix87 and ofc Hoah/Ryan's work. It's getting more and more the main content and intrest to play in the exile environment for us in the community.
