    I'm sorry but you are completely missing the point of this thread if you think your servers are going to do well by having military vehicles and big structures. It's absolutely no different than any of the empty servers out there.

    I don't think zombies or extra enemies are necessary for survival. Sometimes that will just create a larger demand for OP loot. The survival aspect should be something that cannot be solved by cranking the loot tables to 9001. Scarce loot combined with something like harsh elements. Pneumonia, bruised ribs, concussions, etc. Those would all work nicely. If our devs want the same thing survival players do, perhaps some things like this should be enabled by default in the code.

    There's 1 good survival server, but even that one (the winter one) is still very bambi oriented. I was able to get 3 full crates of machine guns in about 2 hours just from looting the air field, and the economy is way too lenient.

    Please please please try to get Napf into Arma 3 Exile! It was such a beautiful, lovely map. I dream about it every night. P.S. Has anyone heard any news about it coming to Arma 3? Maybe I am just late to the party.

    There's a fine line between a fun survival experience and running around in your underwear. Most people who like survival on here want a 2017 experience, not a "Rust" experience. Ideal Arma survival: Random spawns, 75% of guns should be close range crappy guns like starter pistols and pump shotguns and only found in appropriate places like police stations and occasional barns, very minimal vehicles -- most of which should be random spawns that need some level of repair, and bases which would be the only place you can truly feel safe (although destructible, so the safety should be in the fact that the base is hidden, not impenetrable). If I wanted to play Call of Duty, I would have bought it instead.

    The endgame should be having a jeep and a reliable rifle. There doesn't need to be a true endgame in a survival game mode. Blind PVP as soon as you spawn should be rare, so it shifts PVP into endgame essentially.

    This!!! Every server wants to treat this mod like wasteland. It's a mod with unlimited depth and people just shit on it, turning it into a deathmatch. Server owners NEED to go back to the survival roots. Why do people build gigantic bases with no repercussions as well? Bases should be hidden in tree lines or inside a barn... Not massive skyscrapers with multiple tiers to store all of your military loot. You should feel JOY when you encounter an AK47, not dread. The standard weapons should be hunting rifles, handguns and shotguns. Why should you find an M249 machine gun on the sidewalk? Just because Arma is a military simulator doesn't mean that every mod should default to that style of play. The Exile team is doing a wonderful job by making a survival mod, and no one is really doing it justice. Server owners shouldn't be scared to make survival servers... People will play them like crazy. It beats sitting on a desolate 10/75 player "full military loot / helicopters" server (which, by the way, there are hundreds of)

    There needs to be some massive money sinks. Base maintenence should cost at least 1000 a week and vehicles should sell for way less.
  12. As everyone knows, while exile has a great base building system, it is very bare bones. I would enjoy seeing the ability to craft a variety of items for your base, rather than simple things. For instance Arma 2 epoch had fences, outhouses and other items like that. What I'd like to see Storage: shelves, variety of boxes, huts, lock boxes Organization: readable signs (via scroll wheel > examine sign) to sort boxed items Function: ladders, ramps, deer stands Decor: random map props such as book shelves and scarecrows, rugs

    Would love this. Make the HP of it low so raiders can stop you from spawning by destroying it.
