I've admined and played. Bad idea. It never fails, even if you kill a guy in a high traffic area that's being stupid and standing on top of a building you get accused of cheating.

Any one servers having hacker issues
Crazy Harry replied to Chief Jellybean's topic in General Discussion
Yes, there are "hackers". In fact one managed to make my client open some sort of menu thing and suddenly I was banned. Be cautious in the banning of hackers, they sometimes can make innocent people look guilty. Always investigate! -
If your server has a script that allows loading of crates you can do like a couple of have done. Wait around a mission for the AI to engage somebody trying to shoot them. While the AI are busy you run in and grab the empty crate and leave with it. In a safespot wait for the other players to complete the mission, once it is done, look in your stolen crate. Loot!

Revamp Capture missions: Remove Server Wide Notices or Put Time Limits on Servers.
Crazy Harry replied to Cobalt's topic in Constructive Criticism
Yep. Talk to your server admins. That isn't Exile. -
His issue is the one where if you pick up a new gun all your existing weapon's ammo gets dropped. The REAL problem that this thread started about is the loss of a mag when you log back into an Exile server. I've never seen it happen with anything but primary weapons. The way it works is, have gun with for example 4 mags. There's on in the gun so that leaves 3 in inventory. If you log out and back in for any reason you will now have a different full mag (it always swaps out the partial mag) in the weapon and only 2 left in your inventory. I feel it has to do with the way inventory is saved as it is stored by type and not by what item it is in. I'd think something like BackPackContents = ["Item_1", Count],["Item_2", Count]; would work better. This also leads to the annoying "minigame" of re-organizing your inventory constantly.

You do understand that ALL of the Server OSes from MS are based on the same code base as their Desktop OS? This all started around Windows 2000, so, yes it's has a Windows 8 type interface. Heck even back in the NT 3.1 days the NT 3.1 Server OS had the same interface as the NT 3.1 Workstation. It's just what they do. Pin the things you need to the Start Screen. Don't dismiss all of the advancements and newer features based on a menu.

rumour mill concerning piece restriction for building
Crazy Harry replied to <UGA>justinnicholson8's topic in General Discussion
Justin, Yeah, as we play on the same server, I've heard this too. I don't think it's an Exile thing, I think the server owners are doing this. It's not the first time they've implemented a change and said it was Exile and not them. I don't think the "blame" of where this change comes from is meant to be pointed at the Exile Devs, it's just the info has been handed around between Admins and Devs on the server and people aren't all straight in their understanding of what is going on. -
That was off the top of my head. Try THIS.

player addMagazineCargo ["PipeBomb", 1]; Look at the Wiki on Bohemia's site. All the stuff you need to write your own Mod or extend another (Exile) is there.

Not sure why it's there. All it currently allows is for teammates to move in on where you were just killed at and for the dead guy to confirm he's being looted by his killer.

You're saying a mag vanished from your safe? If the mags are in the ddatabase then maybe the gear load routines are decrementing the mag count on login and ayer spawn.

Very cool, I'm working on an ASP.NET MVC 5 based Web app like this.

4 versions in 24 hours? This is ridiculous
Crazy Harry replied to SwissArmy1984's topic in General Discussion
That's why you wait a day or so, let the bugs get reported and work arounds or fixes get released. -
One thing, not that it helps but that memory parameter you have set to 8192MB maxes out at 2047MB and cannot use more as it's a 32bit exe. Yes, PAE can help. I'm not sure if Arma was built using the /LARGEADDRESSAWARE parameter though.
