    Thanks for the traders! And I download mine from the site (as opposed to Steam) and loot spawns without issue. Arma. LOL. Can't say I'm competent and certainly can't say I ain't an arsehole but my Esseker works fine too (single player mind). As much as I like Esseker it simply isn't finished and needs much TLC. I've just updated to Arma3 1.64, Exile 1.0.2, latest Reborn and switched to Tanoa - and that works fine too!

    +1 Nice post, mirrors my sentiments exactly :thumbs-up: I'd really like to see some of the atmospheric set pieces John has started be expanded upon and move to other maps. These really add a chilling reminder as to events prior to your arrival at that location. Stumbling across all the bodies at the petrol station (as per Johns screenshot) for example could be the start of a "mission" if you find a note on a body revealing the coordinates of the scavengers base or a crate of goodies. Roaming non-hostile AI (scavengers / survivors just like me) would be nice too. I hate Altis. Can't stand the whole vibe of the place, if you know what I mean. I'm playing Esseker at the moment and it's great - but it still needs work and that detracts from the map. Tanoa, meh. Got over that quicker than I did Namalsk but the benefit of Tanoa is (like Altis) it's an "official" map and you don't need any extra add-ons nor have any problems associated with their use. Chernarus is an old fave but is also getting long in the tooth. Just on your comment on starting a base, whats the decay time? I started a base (had the floors down) but then didn't log in for a week; when i returned, everything, including my flag, was gone.

    No, the biggest threat should be the environment (cold/food/water/undead) followed closely by players/AI. PVP can be had anywhere, on any map and any server. It's only with "Exile Reborn - A Complete Survival Package" that we see a more rounded experience with surviving in an hostile environment. I'd suggest as this mod develops and it becomes harder to "live off the land" that players may well band together. Having said all that, I can't deny that it can be whatever you want it to be.

    Cripes, I must be a complete noob because these buggers scare seven shades of shit outta me... I made the mistake of opening a door without looking in the window only to have a [runner] zombie explode (metaphorically) through the open door screaming "bbaaarrggghhhhhhh", arms flailing around hitting me, his scream drowned out by mine as I freak the f*ck right out and empty a full 45 round RPK magazine into the scenery in panic. I did get him (with the second mag) but more through good luck than good management, or aim for that matter.

    @John Wow. It's all I can say really. I won't bore you with the details of my first terrifying contact with the AI, the first lightening storm I was in the dead center of nor the earthquake which was truly epic as I watched the buildings around me collapse. An now, zombies on Esseker, the perfect survival map? I'd like to have your babies. In me. NOW! <cough> Great work mate and huge props for sharing it with the community. I can see this becoming the standard for what many would like in a revised and refreshed "zombie apocalypse survival" mod especially for those of us that prefer a more PVE (or single-player) experience (as apposed to PVP where other players provide much of the dynamic). While I have no doubts you have many ideas rattling around for additional content, I thought I'd add a few; Animals to kill, skin and eat (similar to the mechanic in DayZ); Non-hostile survivor NPC (unless you shoot at them and most certainly hostile to the Headhunters / bandit groups); No traders at all but the flag would need to be a craft-able item (and I'd rather be boarding up an existing house than be building a "base" in the traditional sense). Anyway, irrespective of what you actually do, can't wait to see future updates!

    It doesn't get much easier or better than the deploy bike script by @happydayz which you can find here. Double click your radio and you have a bike. You can repack it too.

    @Bob_the_K Yes, I have noticed this behavior - I've had effectively two aircraft circling my location on numerous occasions. However, I'm on my test server by myself - so I wonder if, DMS aside, the "normal" behavior is to loosely buzz all players on the map. EDIT: Found an interesting thread about this here.

    Use the version @SadBoy1981 posted here. It's updated for poptabs, works flawlessly and looks fanstastic!

    Looks like you're using ExileZ with the wrong Triggerposition.sqf entries. Here's the ones I use... You'll need to disable the last two triggers in the config file I believe - there's talk of this in the ExileZ thread.

    @[RG] Salutesh - I have exactly this problem, no matter what I set the AI to they are OP aimbots - when you say "AI enabled in the mission.sqm" where do mean exactly? There's an entry is the the description.ext "disabledAI = 1" which is the only I've found so far... @xjacksssss Did you find a solution?

    With Exile it's just so easy to do, well, everything really although I've had plenty of practice with DayZ, DayZ_Epoch etc. The guide I mentioned above makes the DB so easy to do and I'm a complete MYSQL noob.
