    The point of exile

    I understand MrWhite, I am just putting my thoughts on the forum to help the development and hear other players thoughts too. I love your work and I am really thankful to you for doing all you do especially because you are not doing it for profit or something similar, but for the community. This is actually the first Arma mod I have been so excited for and the first that inspired me to actually care for it and get active in its development and community. I fully understand you and apologies if that came out wrong just putting my thoughts based on my experience playing hoping to help.

I know this is mentioned partly on the big post made by Boxman80 called Improve Exile - A Wishlist (43 Suggestions & Growing!) but i would like to highlight it a bit more because i think it's one of the most important parts of the mod. In my opinion the survival aspect of the mod is really poor, why even have a hunger-thirst system when it's not even an important element of the game it's too much focused just on the killing/shooting. You can cross the whole map diagonally with one or two cans of food and bottles of water. I think a more realistic, depth health, hunger-thirst system should be made at the core of the mode what you are doing right now-the basic things and I know you don't want to add to much content until the mod is fully stable but that should be one of the most important, basic elements of the mod-bleeding, bandages, morphine, passing out, body temperature, blood levels, and a more depth hunger-thirst system. It would make the mode much more interesting and the fight would have much more depth and all other aspects of the game as well. That would make the mod so much more awesome to me. You would really have to survive, actively, gather resources and be smart not just shoot other guys shooting at you and you could help other players and the hospitals would be a point of interest worth fighting for and so on. I hope the devs will read the post and think about it and you guys, I really want to hear the community's opinion on this and if you agree with me. Peace !

    I am playing exile now for about 5 days or so and 70% of what players do and what appears to me as the point of exile is pvp-ing/deathmatching on the spawn points. Does no one want debth, survival, base wars, objectives to fight for, awesome stories to play thru etc? I think there needs to be a change in the current spawn system or something, I don't have a perfect solution, maybe you can make the spawns random on the map? I'm sure someone is going to come up with an idea, but the deathmatch just gets just boring after 10 minutes, this mode has so much potentional why reduce it to a big spawn>get a weapon in 2 minutes>kill a few players>die>repeat when it can be so much more?

    This long discussions takes too mich time and energy from me to write since english is not my main lagnuage. We have different opinions and that's ok. I respect your opinion. We are well off topic anyway.

    Not every shooter is a FPS btw. And in a shooter the main goal is not to kill more than die, the more you are alive the more kills you have and less deaths so you could say the goal is to stay alive as long as possible but it's not that too, it depends actually. The most popular shooter of all time Counter Strike has a goal of planting a bomb or defusing it for an example and there is a bigger death pennalty(I'm talking about good shooters not crap like the new CoD) you lose your rank or your stats while in exile like Rangecreed said "I mean christ , get in gun fight > kill/die > respawn in town > dodge plenty of bullets > re-gear > kill/die > repeat" He is writing in one post its hard to get gear and weapons and its a survival and in the other he says you just die, dodge bullets get some gear and continue the shooting and I quote the post i find true and you quote the post from the same person that said something complete opposite in his other post. His post are totally contradictory. The spawns are in the biggest towns on the map and by that in the places with the highest amount of loot and plus vehicles spawn there. You need 2 minutes to find a weapon or equipment and there are like lynx in houses and there are no resources you spawn with a water bottle and can play with it for half an hour while you can find 20 more and you do and you take about 2 because you dont need more. The part with the vehicles that you saved for is a different subject, no one bys a hunter and goes with it to elektro and even then the vehicle has a lock code so uou rarely lose it. It's not much of a survival if you are not afraid to die and if you almost never lose something that was really imortant to you and your long survival gave it to you. Think about it.

    Add a study body option.

    I would like to see a study option too. It gives you the possibility to see who was in a shooting (example: you hear a few gunshots not far from you, you see 2 people dead and find out who it was-sometimes there are multiple people killed and you don't know who it was near you). And I think its much easier to make than death skulls with names in a group+its more realistic.

    Problem 1 needs to get fixed I agree and probably will be in the next update just report the bug but I think problem 2 is not a problem, it's realistic. Criminals or bandits sometimes camp traders and want free stuff, it's a crime that makes them money and you are the one who should be smarter and not give them your stuff. It's easier to get lost in a game if the game is fully realistic, it has a realistic environment, there are no zombies and other unrealistic crap and making it robotic like that would just make the experience less real or good. Just an opinion.

    That is the worst description of a "survival" mod ever, a survival mod where you have to survive bullets? That makes every shooter a survival, the mod needs more depth not just brainless shooting in towns.

    My opinion is thermals should stay and just be expensive, everyone can use them so no one has an advantage.

    I love the idea, the Origins system is really good but since this is a war among criminals ranks would be awesome just like you said or a bad/good criminal system similar to the hero/bandit system.

I think this post is awesome and the idea the creator of the post gave to make the mod go in the direction of making a crime island of some sort is epic and easy to get lost in what is the main purpose of a game. The thing I would like to see first and the most is a more survival approach to the mod, right now it is a base building shooter mod so to say, its not a survival if you can walk from one point of the map to another with one water bottle and one can of food. My opinion is that the mod would be much better if it had a more survival, realistic approach. That would be bleeding out->bandages, morphine, blood bags and a more realistic hunger-thirst system, body temperature etc. I understand the mod is in heavy development and you guys are trying your best to make it the best you can and you are still working on basic things but the health and survival system is one of the basic things in my opinion. I am very thankful to you developers for working on the mod and you are doing a great job. It has the potentional to be the best Arma 3 mod ever. I hope I expressed myself so that everyone can understand me since English is not my main language. Peace !
