I was told something to the effect of it had something to do with my provider using a linux server and the editor being windows based???? Not sure what that means really but I asked them to resolve it.... Been waiting about 2 months now and no action. Not going to start any name dropping but if they don't have it resolved after the Xmas holiday's I'm done with them... NO real issue right now because I've been playing FO4, lol

OK, long story short, and I have been searching some and I have found a lot of info but in this case I have found so much that I have gotten a bit confused and I just do not have the time or the focus due to being spread out from work and by the time I make it back home on the weekends I've kind of forgotten where I am at on my private little Exile server (running on a Windows 10 PC in my house) and honestly, I just want to play and do some basebuilding amongst myself and a couple of friends. Simple as it may seem it's just a lot more than I have time to dedicate (in order to learn what to do in order to copy, compile, figure out the details of what goes where). I know it's cheating but I just want to get some guidance or direct help if possible... I'm looking for someone that can help me setup the @mas weapons and vehicles. I have already gotten @A3XAI running for AI and anything else is just vanilla with some minor tweaks on loot spawning. That part was easy by most standards but I am just getting confused on setting up the config stuff, and also adding loot, etc etc... Anyone that can perhaps help me out would be greatly appreciated.. I'm available most weekends right now and could sure use the help or a good set of instructions that are not spread across 20 different topics in the forums.

I've been having an issue where any edit to the PBO (unwrapped, edited in notepad++, and rewrapped) file causes the server to stop responding when i put it back on the server and try to restart it. Is this a problem caused by this error previously? if so then why am I the only person that appears to be experiencing it? Thanks for any advice you can offer...

Long story short is you have to edit it in the mysql database. Here is a link that will hopefully help.

Would definitely add a new survival mechanic, not anything as deadly as forgetting to eat and drink... I like it!!!

Yeah, I see that and thanks. I just for some reason was not able to ge tthe exile.sql that was loaded on my server to open in the table that he was showing earlier in the post. I was unsure if just changing it there would affect it or not since it was not showing the tablet view. I was curious if you guys are able to access, and make changes to the files that exist on your server (after backing them up) with a simple server restart. I tried modifying the file from the original exile download to start over fresh and the server did not like that at all, lol. I ended up having to wipe the server and reset it up, and then I was getting a version mistmatch when starting the game client so I had to turn around and do a complete reinstall of the Arma game files. Not sure if that matched it but I googled the issue and that seemed to be the foremost solution anyone had. Hard lesson I guess but only made difficult because I am traveling through work and internet connections in hotels tend to suck. Thanks Miannie83. I think I had just gotten to a point last night where it was too late and too much new stuff and I just lost my ability to focus after a certain point, lol.

Probably. I just am learning stuff here and trying to figure a lot of it out on my own but no one has really set out a how to (as in how to edit or turn on features in a single resource. I can't even figure out how the sql stuff works right now... Am I supposed to remote into my server and update the file there and restart it or download it and change it, then upload it and restart??? I'm not seeing anything like what you have going on in your link above... Sorry for the noob questions but everyone started at the bottom. I'm just humble enough to know there are people that can help, and will hopefully not stick there nose in the air. Right now what I want to set up in the server is being able to see where I am on the map, start off with some traders, and once I have done a little more sleuthing add in AI missions and zombie spawns. Here's what I am seeing on the sql portion at the moment, but this is the file i have downloaded, because I can not get mysql workbench to connect to my server file...

I tried searching and it took me to this thread, which really didn't have any answers in the forum. Everyone just sends a PM it seems rather than just taking the time to post it and being helpful to everyone. Kind of takes away from the helpful nature of the community. I'm new at this and I have seen others say the same thing about using search but you gotta take the higher road and be more helpful if you want your comment to mean more...
