    Yea. I gave up on the Hellcat.. Probably an Arma issue and not a mod. When I did use it I did have a bunch of jerry cans in it. It's been like that for a long time. Even right off purchasing it you can sit in the pilot seat and the engine isn't even running and you can watch the fuel dissipate. On a side note.. Is this mod still being worked on? I was thinking that the new concrete building is great but it would be nice if it could be painted.

    You know the hellcat is bugged when you can sit in it with the engine completely off and it's still consuming fuel.
  3. Thanks for the reply and advice. Yes. I've verified and re-verified on my end. Even just re-dl'd the entire mod just to be sure and/or rule that out. Checked Arma3 files also. I'll pass this on and see what their thoughts are on it as well since I put a note on their forum inquiring about it.
  4. I haven't played Exile in a long time.. Probably 6 months. Is this "You been kicked from the game" a known issue or would it be a server issue? Noticing myself as well as others are getting the boots at random times.
  5. That's great that YOU are ok with it and see some sort of benefit from the way they set it up. I can only hope there are a lot of players who agree with you after they spend a lot of time putting up a base to have it completely gone in an instant rather than just some of the pieces of it. Regardless.. out of all I said the point being.. the mods building despawn mechanics are very unforgiving for player who miss going to the trader to pay their protection by even one server restart cycle and compared it to other mods that this feature was a lot more forgiving to use as an example.. Not to curb them to do it THAT way rather moreso a comparison to how they did it and how Exile is doing it. My post was focused on one thing.. the building aspects and how this mod handles them using how other mods handled them as a comparison.. nothing more.. nothing less.
  6. Here is the prob with this mod currently and the main reason I stopped playing a while back. I've put in many hours in the main mods in both A2 and A3. As good as Exile is in some areas it's not good when it comes to how it handles building which is a big time-consuming task. Some mods have a health meter on each individual building component and the main plot pole had a much longer life time than even the individual building components (possibly a month by default). So if you missed your renewal by a few days you can log in and you would only have to rebuild a portion of your base that you spent many hours to put up. The way Exile does it.. It's all gone at one instance when you don't pay. Unsure why it was done in that fashion can only speculate it was considered less information to keep track of in the database. I've lost enough bases and gear because I was away on travel since I'm a casual player that I had lost interest in repeating that process. Paying protection at your base should also be considered as that aspect is another inconvenience when you have to gear your items at your base then travel to a trader to pay to keep your base.

    Add codelock to any house?

    I'd sure love to see some focus on expanding the building aspects of this mod cuz it's currently very limited in respect of the building. Even the servers I've messed around on have to rely on DP and Extended Exile building addons to spice it up to attract players. The mod had a great start and I get the feeling it's come to a crawl lately, specifically in this respect. We got all these things like sandbags and tools and tires that are just sitting in the loot tables doing nothing but occupying space in a database.

    Again about Taviana

    It comes down to the fact that Origins is a closed source mod so anything made for it is included.. Tav map. Martin doesn't do anything for free for the community. Give up on Tav and go play other maps that map makers are welcoming free open source mods to use. There are many to choose from. Origins mod is miles behind everyone else.. By the time they get on A3, A4 will be out. lol He will probably charge any mod that wants to use that map a rental fee to suck continual revenue out of them is my guess which in the end will let it sit and collect dust. Namalsk is ok and the Exile team did some great work on it. I'm not a big fan of the map as it lacks color and is a bit limiting on variations. It has it's chopped up wood forest and snowy peaks and that's about it. I do look forward to them continueing that sort of work on another map.. I feel Napf would be a hit for Exile and it would be epic if they made a few variations of the map to reflect season like summer/winter/spring/fall with weather changes in those seasons. Regardless the Exile team is doing great work and I appreciate every second they put into the mod! My 2 bitts.

    UAZ and pink lights

    Isn't that CUP vehicles? Some of the CUP vehicles are bugged.. Humvee's will be flipped sideways randomly at restarts. Not saying that CUP vehicle is bugged.. I thought that UAZ is a CUP vehicle.

    New map to exile!?

    You know what would be cool... If Thirsk had two maps.. One map in the style of Winter and One map in the style of Summer. That way servers could actually run one map for winter months and switch to the summer map in the summer months that can coincide with the season in real life. Or even take it one step further and have a fall and spring maps as well. That would be pretty cool I think. Heck any map that would be cool in.... Was liking Taviana till Martin got it yanked so the server changed to Namalsk.. Not liking Namalsk.. boring map with little variety. Hoping the are going to Napf cuz I really liked that map in A2.

    Creative base building in Exile

    Tried the DP objects. They are great an all though they do not work well with Exile objects. ie: Made a base out of wood then took out a wall and snug up a castle tower to the opening, at restart the castle tower moved causing a gap. Did the same thing next restart when re-positioned back to remove the gap. Possibly an issue with positioning values being changed (rounding up or down) at server restarts and/or in relation to Exile objects.. but i'm not sure. Who knows though.. maybe I did something wrong. I didn't snap it. I just snugged it right up to the wood walls so there were zero gaps.
  12. Does anyone have anything more creative you can do with base building in Exile? Getting bored of simple box type building mechanics. Looked around Youtube and not really seeing anything. I miss vector building that snap building pro introduces in Arma2.

    What happened to Taviana?

    Desolation has miles to go and it'll be interesting how it performs when you put in building objects and players start placing them. Servers gonna choke badly I suspect. With A3's graphic enhancements I see that many have not bothered with zeds. I feel it can't handle it

    Is this an Exile issue or Arma? Seems like it's always the Hellcat that eats gas extremely fast. If I recall correctly you can just sit in the pilots seat and not even have the engine turned on and you can watch the gas deplete. Also the server has the CUP vehicles and the Huey is available. Got it just to find out it has the exact same issue.. Eats gas like crazy. What's the deal?
  15. You just have to wait for the vehicle to despawn and then the body will appear from my undertsanding. That's how it is when a chopper is downed and your body is inside it.
