These are just examples, but should clarify what I have in mind.

First, build the frame and, depending on the existing material, fill it with wood, bricks or concrete. These can also be reinforced with metal. 

I will also consider other models such as larger garage doors into consideration.^_^

I also have to see how it works with the destruction...

It stores and displays vehicles fine, but when you go to retrieve a vehicle you will get a message that says "Failed to retrieve vehicle, waiting for server response"

Painting Bases?https://exile.majormittens.co.uk/topic/19529-painting-bases/ I've noticed on a couple of servers lately that bases are being painted with camo.   Is this a separate mod or is it somehow in vanilla?  If anyone happens to know what script or mod it is, it would be greatly appreciated.

How would I go about that? This is for retrieving from the virtual garage only not when vehicles are purchased.

Just wanted to ask if anyone has a script or has figured out a way of allowing base objects to be moved from it's placed position rather than having to re-position it from scratch (like when you construct it to start with). This would make it much easier when trying to make slight position changes of base objects/parts.

Safe construction extdb2 vs extdb3https://exile.majormittens.co.uk/topic/26889-safe-construction-extdb2-vs-extdb3/ Hi everyone,

on my extdb3 server safes dont work as they should unless constructed inside territory, tried reading topics here, and googling and consulting on Discord, and for testing purpouses created a new extdb2 server and c/p all mods/addons and mission file to it, so it is identical to extdb3 one, minus extdb3 override.

Now what is going on:


when constructed outside of territory:

  • got the toast saying PIN is 0000
  • using scroll menu on safe there are only two options, inventory and pack
  • when using pack option and type PIN 0000 get the toast that PIN is wrong, which makes packing impossible
  • safes are NOT being written to database
  • if no safe is constructed there is no error in rpt, however if one is constructed the following error appears:

when constructed on territory:

  • got a complete scroll menu
  • can pack, lock, change PIN
  • safe is written to database


  • got complete scroll menu regardless of territory
  • can pack, lock, change PIN
  • safe is written to database

Beside the above error there is no major error in rpt, and the same files work as they should without extdb3 overrides.

Which leads to conclusions:

  1. there is something wrong with extdb3, the way it is installed, or some lines of code in it, since they cannot be used outside of territory
  2. there is something wrong with extdb2, the way it is installed, or some lines of code in it, and I got used to safes not working properly and being able to place them where I want to regardless of the territory on extdb2, and the above error is a result of my poor server administration.

Can you help me solve this mystery?

Temporary buildinghttps://exile.majormittens.co.uk/topic/25450-temporary-building/ I've done a lot of searching and can't seem to find an answer to this.  Is there a way to allow someone to build temporarily that will disappear after a server restart?

I have a private server and only do PvE and would like the ability to build anywhere without a flag (i.e. building ladders to get up on a roof).  I understand the flaw for PvP and base raiding but just want this for our PvE.

My guess would be that I would have to modify either "ExileServer_object_construction_network_buildConstructionRequest.sqf" or "ExileServer_object_construction_network_buildTerritoryRequest.sqf", but I don't know enough to know what to tweak.

How to set no-build and no-logout areahttps://exile.majormittens.co.uk/topic/23852-how-to-set-no-build-and-no-logout-area/ I've got a Tanoa island set up like a Sector B from the old Origins days on my test server.  It's incredibly hard but has some of the best loot in the game.  But like the original Sector B, I want to make it unbuildable and that players cannot logout there.  Possibly if they rage-quit out that they either are dead on logon or at some random location.   I found these on an OpenDayZ forum - http://opendayz.net/threads/specific-area-logout-punishment-tested-for-epoch.20686/#post-108516 and http://opendayz.net/threads/areas-player-are-not-allowed-to-log-out.18100/ but I doubt they'd work in the latest version of Arma3 and Exile.  How would I go about figuring this out?

Edit:  I think I have a marker class for mission.sqm to disable building.  Just need a way to prevent logging out now.

What im after is if you build say close to a city thats when the message will say you are too close to enemy territory

So im after the script that stops you from building in areas that you list to be blacklisted from building close too.

I know its here on the forums somewhere but not sure where.

But every now and then a player will not be able to get the Q & E to rotate while snapping, if I am added to the base to build I can with no issues? Anyone know what could be causing them issues so I can help them correct it?
